The owner/host's warm and welcoming personality significantly enhanced our stay. Their friendliness, helpfulness & knowledge made us feel right at home. The location was also ok and this made traversing around the city easy.
Quite a few things stand out. When leaving the hotel, we had to place the room key at the front desk, which made us very uneasy. The shower also had mold in the grout, so although the room was clean, seeing the mold was a bit unsettling. The ac was a smaller unit, so cooling the room was difficult. Upon arrival, we also had to clean mildew from the walls in the bathroom, so it is possible it was missed before we arrived. The other thing that stood out was that the hotel had a smell at times that was off-putting.

Ron and Aruna were fantastic! We spent New Years here and had a great time and a comfortable stay at a great location for a better price than most other places around :-) Someone was always available for any of our questions, and Ron helped arrange rides to and from the airport. Perfect stay! Clean and comfortable!
Everything was great! One suggestion, we were asked not to separate the beds - the king is two twins put together like many places - when we wanted to separate them. It would be great if this was something that was possible if needed when folks have trouble sleeping or for whatever reason.

Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet street. Clean room with reliable hot water. Good breakfast. Location is not far from some Government offices. I would go back there the next time I come to Paramaribo.
Bed was uncomfortable - it was two mattresses pushed together. TV had very few channels, no international news channel. Elevator was not working; climbing stairs at 3 am when I arrived from the airport was not appealing but fortunately it was only to the first floor..

I arrived late at night and they were waiting for me. It was pouring rain and they just gave me the key and let me go to my room so I could shower. So much trust! The next morning I was able to check in and order breakfast. The manager helped me exchange US dollars for Surinam Dollars. After checkout they let me work in the lobby rest of the day. I'm definitely coming back!!

I've been traveling for quite a while, but this is the first time I've been inclined to write a review. This was the best experience I've had in my entire life at a hotel. Ron, the owner, is one of the coolest people I've ever met, and he goes out of his way to make sure his guests have the best possible experience. He literally took it upon himself to take me around to nearby islands by boat because he wanted me to show me the country. I couldn't recommend more.

The staff was really helpful and kind. The bed was comfy and we enjoyed the silence.
The room was the tiniest in the world. We barely had space for our luggage. Not really comfortable.
