Pleasant Stay PARAMARIBO. The manager added 20% extra fee to the final price (taxes included) from Booking. She said that Booking does not know about Suriname's internal taxes. So, the guest must pay. Be careful. This is not fair.

It was the ideal location for me and my family.
Walking to the Roti shop and stores was good for me.
I also like the that my granddaughter 1 year 5 months was so happy to be there with us. The host was so nice. Highly impressed of the cleanliness and security of the place.
So because of the weather (rain) I did not get to enjoy the garden that was available for guest to relax with their family.
Calling a taxi service an no car available was one of our challenges.

Big room. Balcony. Clean. Nice backyard with a hammock. Secure. Somewhat central location.
They scheduled a taxi to pick me up at the airport and it never came. No taxis available (hardly anyone even in the airport), I was stuck out there. Didn’t know about a security cash deposit for the room. Shared shower did not have a light, had to use my phone for light when taking a shower at night. But most annoying is the very loud street noise. Ear plugs highly recommend.

The owner of the hostel is a really charming and kind person. He explained to me lots of things and facts about Suriname that helped me to understand and get to know better the country. Also, there was one night, that all the restaurants were closed (and I couldn't also extract money from ATM that day) and the owner offered me some dinner (which was delicious). I highly appreciate that.
About the hostel it self, the clean and the facilities were all really clean. Great hostel.
Maybe there should have been available at the room a wider blanket, but in general it's unnecessary, as Paramaribo is generally hot most of the time.

Friendly and helpful owners. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.
It can be noisy due to traffic that passes in front of the guest house. Best to ask for room on the rear side.
