I enjoyed staying in a traditional / local hotel, and generally liked the decor and the feel of the place. Staff was very nice and attentive to my requests. The coffee, whether at breakfast or during the day, is very good.
The bathroom could have more light and would also benefit from a deep cleanse. Although staff claims the area is safe, it is quite dark and lonely in the evenings. As a solo woman traveller, I felt uncomfortable with comments from men living nearby while I was walking back to the hotel from Souposo (a restaurant 5 mins away).

The colonial style wooden hotel and garden are very charming and located close to Paramaribo attractions. The pool is a welcome refresher in the heat. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, they made us feel right at home. The breakfast is good and you can hang out in the restaurant area during the day if you want.
We could have used a bit more shade by the pool

Rooms are too small/compact, bathroom construction isn’t great, there was some flooding
The window needs better curtains, the room gets very bright and there should be a tv for the money we pay.

The staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very good and I appreciated the pool. Very pleasant ambiance.
The room had a loft with an extra bed, which we didn’t need, but the footprint was rather small. Locals said the neighbourhood wasn’t very safe, but there were lots of places to stay, so I think mostly toward the centre and after dark.

What a find!! A beautifully restore Paramaribo wooden townhouse that provides an oasis of calm on the edge of the city. Great friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Highly Recommended

The building of the hotel is very impressive and authentic, made of wood without single neil. It is located on the typical street, but all restaurants are 15min walk away, staff are nice and do their best, but they struggle to manage everything
Rooms are small, humid, the final price is not what you see on the booking. Booking app/website does not allow to choose one room for 2 adults+2 kids, even the one with two double beds. So, when you choose one room for 2, they ask you pay extra for each kid at the property, and then there is 15% service charge/tax, so the final price is much higher, and too expensive for what it is.
In the rooms downstars you hear all people arriving, eating, setting up the breakfast. In the room upstairs there are lots of mosquitos and no mosquito nets. It is too small to put up baby cot.

Good breakfast with eggs yoghurt fruits and very nice brown bread. Personnel were very friendly, helpful at all times, with attention for you as an individual not as a tourist, shared some of their life stories. The salty pool was clean and invited to go in it even before breakfast. Rooms equipped with all necessities: shower, toilet, aircon, towels. The place has much space outside the rooms to sit, including two balconies and a library and th breakfast room outside (but covered against the rain). We were with 5 and sometimes 9 people (family) hence we really enjoyed such spaces. It created also a possibility to meet other guests. At walking distance of the historic town.
