THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. The local was perfect, the hotel has a beautiful lobby that makes wonderful drinks. I did not have the breakfast, only because the hotel-level cost, but it definitely LOOKED amazing. The room was absolutely fine for our stay, has everything you need. The spa was nice to have too. Everyone was super friendly and helpful - especially the girl with the red hair (I cannot remember her name) but she was SO enthusiastic, you can tell she really enjoys her job and enjoys helping out tourists like me.
THE ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE, WAS THE PILLOWS... hahaha. The pillow menu was cute and all, but the pillows were tiny and small and did not support my head

We were traveling with our small dog and were delighted to find an extra blanket, water bowls, and food prepared in our room — a very thoughtful touch and excellent service.
The breakfast buffet was extraordinary, with a great selection and very high quality. The hotel’s location is also perfect for exploring this vibrant city on foot.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.
The check-in process was fast and efficient. The only thing I did not particularly like was having to fill out the registration form with all my personal details myself. At a hotel of this level, I would expect this service to be handled by the staff. Fortunately, this only has to be done the first time you stay at a Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences property.

Just outside the old city with walkway under main road about 4 meters from hotel door. Easy to walk to restaurants and castle. Great atmosphere, staff and breakfast

The hotel itself and rooms are very lovely
Men in the sauna were very inappropriate towards us and staff basically said oh, that sucks. Also breakfast charge was very high

I liked the fact that the other guests were mostly locals (not foreigners). There were local conferences going on at the hotel so all of the people in the hotel restaurant when I was there were local as well. The food was Slovakian comfort food, which I appreciated.
The bathroom had enough shelf space around the sink to put a normal amount of toiletries but it was very low for a 6' tall guest. I felt like I had to bend over to shave.

The hotel's location was excellent, conveniently located to the city center and the Castle. Couldn't have been a better location to explore and easily get into town. Additionally, the hotel staff were exceptionally kind and made the stay very pleasant. The room was spacious.
I was a little bit surprised because the photos and descriptions online don’t match what I experienced. The hotel felt pretty grimy, with odd smells and hallways that felt a little run down and grim. It was good for one night, but past that it would not have felt comfortable. The hotel needs some updates. I also found the breakfast to be very overpriced and underwhelming.

The location is great. We had a room with a magnificent view. The saunas were immaculate. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was clear and convenient. The lobby atmosphere was nice.

Staff!
I'm enerally not a four or five star kinda guy. The staff, excepting one, but all of the female staff that I encountered were fantastic. I had multiple days reserved but was given a full refund with a smile which amazed me! I'm sure that people that enjoy these hotels would be very happy to stay here. Speaking of which, I found the other guests to rather snobby. I suppose that I don't belong to this crowd and it's not about money, I have ample funds. I prefer to being around folks that, enjoy or by necessity, staying in two and three star hotels. It's my experience that these people are friendlier and easier to strike up conversations.
Thanks to the staff of the Falkensteiner Hotel! You rock!
