The hotel itself and rooms are very lovely
Men in the sauna were very inappropriate towards us and staff basically said oh, that sucks. Also breakfast charge was very high

I liked the fact that the other guests were mostly locals (not foreigners). There were local conferences going on at the hotel so all of the people in the hotel restaurant when I was there were local as well. The food was Slovakian comfort food, which I appreciated.
The bathroom had enough shelf space around the sink to put a normal amount of toiletries but it was very low for a 6' tall guest. I felt like I had to bend over to shave.

The hotel's location was excellent, conveniently located to the city center and the Castle. Couldn't have been a better location to explore and easily get into town. Additionally, the hotel staff were exceptionally kind and made the stay very pleasant. The room was spacious.
I was a little bit surprised because the photos and descriptions online don’t match what I experienced. The hotel felt pretty grimy, with odd smells and hallways that felt a little run down and grim. It was good for one night, but past that it would not have felt comfortable. The hotel needs some updates. I also found the breakfast to be very overpriced and underwhelming.

The location is great. We had a room with a magnificent view. The saunas were immaculate. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was clear and convenient. The lobby atmosphere was nice.

Staff!
I'm enerally not a four or five star kinda guy. The staff, excepting one, but all of the female staff that I encountered were fantastic. I had multiple days reserved but was given a full refund with a smile which amazed me! I'm sure that people that enjoy these hotels would be very happy to stay here. Speaking of which, I found the other guests to rather snobby. I suppose that I don't belong to this crowd and it's not about money, I have ample funds. I prefer to being around folks that, enjoy or by necessity, staying in two and three star hotels. It's my experience that these people are friendlier and easier to strike up conversations. Thanks to the staff of the Falkensteiner Hotel! You rock! P.S....I'm a 72 year old American/Canadian.

Good location, staff was great, very helpful, room cleaners were good, breakfast decent.
Couldn't figure out why the place smelled like a kennel until I saw people with dogs. Unfortunately the halls and common areas smelled of dog urine and worse. They would have to rip up the carpets and remodel to get rid of the smell.

The hotel stuff was certainly on another level. They helped us many times and each time they were responsive. Breakfast and spa zone were exceptionally awesome!!!
Some of the furniture parts were not completely clean, but as a whole it looked perfect.

Staff were great. Recommended a wonderful restaurant which we had a great dinner at. Breakfast included in the morning was great. We had our pet with us and had to sit in the bar area, but it was no problem. We loved our stay there thank you.
