How amazing to be staying in a Venetian building on the beautiful main square of Piran. Host Gorazd welcomed us with a glass of wine and made us feel welcome. Arrival drop off and departure pick-up were easy with Gorazd's organization. We would love to stay again!
A beautiful attic room with wonderful views from the skylight windows but the room is not suitable for basketballers! Luckily we are of average height!

Our stay in Benecanka Casa Veneziana Piran was absolutely AMAZING!!!!
This is not just a regular place to sleep — it is a truly unique, charming, historic and unforgettable experience in the heart of Piran. The location is PERFECT, right in the most beautiful and magical part of the old town, with amazing atmosphere, beautiful views, and everything around you within a short walk.
The room was beautiful, special, romantic and full of character. It felt like staying inside a piece of history full of the owner art collection, huge and super comfortable, clean and welcoming. The whole place has a very unique soul and charm that made our stay feel completely different from a normal hotel experience.
But what really made the stay unforgettable was the owner. He was honestly one of the nicest and most helpful people we met on our trip. He was extremely friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. He gave us information, helped us with parking and arrival, welcomed us with a glass of wine from his special unique private local wine collection to the sounds of his private record collection, answered every question, even walked us to his favorite bars and restaurants and made us feel truly welcome from the first moment!!
You can feel that he really cares about his guests and wants them to have a great experience. This kind of personal hospitality is rare and made a huge difference for us.
The breakfast was also very good and the whole morning atmosphere in Piran was beautiful and romantic. Waking up in such a special place, walking outside into the old town, and feeling the charm of Piran around us was really something we will remember.
The location is perfect for exploring Piran — Tartini Square, the sea, the harbor, the old streets, the church viewpoint, restaurants, bars, cafes and sunset walks are all nearby. The whole area is full of charm, beauty and romantic atmosphere.

The location is amazing, right on the main square. Called the “Venetian House,” this historic property is gorgeous. The room is very large with a giant bathroom, rare for Europe. The managers are very kind and helpful. The price is good value.
Nothing. Just note that there is no on-site parking, so if you have a car you must park in a car park about 10 minutes walk away. Help with luggage can be arranged.

This was a most remarkable stay. Everything was simply perfect. We were a bit worried about the no-car rule for the city of Piran, and how we would get our luggage and car situated. However the wonderful staff made it all a breeze. They were easy to communicate with, met us at the square where they had a great system to have us park for just a few minutes and even helped us unload. Then they guided us to the parking garage we would be using for our stay. The place is absolutely wonderful. Excellent location, right on the main square, close to everything. We even got to see a concert by Luka Sulic (of the Two Cellos fame) from our bedroom window! Breakfast is included: it is tasty with great variety, in the cafe next to the building. Having your morning coffee on the piazza is magical. Staying in a building hundreds of years old, beautifully renovated and full of the modern day amenities is how we like to travel, and Benecanka Casa Veneziana was all that and more. We also loved all the unique art in the house. Thank you, we had a lovely time!
We loved everything. Note about the city in general: Piran's charm is that it is old, full of cobble-stone streets, tiny, winding paths and lots of stairs. It is a walk-only city, so be mindful of that when booking. We loved every part of that, but I could see it being an issue for mobility-challenged visitors.

The property manager made the experience memorable from beginning to end. He made the drop off and pick-up process seamless and easy. The location couldn’t be more perfect. The 2nd floor bedroom was spacious; it had a large bathroom with heated floors. The view of the square is beautiful.
The bed was okay but not super comfortable. There was only one pillow for a large bed, which was a little odd.

The care for the property, the art, the history of the space, and all the little touches made this place such a gem. The service was top notch and the family who runs it are SO kind! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. They clearly had the routine down of transitioning bags from cars into the rooms (given there are no cars in the main street of Piran).

The room and ensuite shower were on the top floor of the oldest building in the main square (very quiet) so full of character and surrounded by history and local culture. We found out about the history of the building and many other interesting facts about the town and its way of life thanks to the host, Iztok, in his very interesting rundown on our arrival; he really helped us to settle in very quickly.
Beware! Parking on the outskirts of the town was really expensive: 29€ per day!

The location on the main square overlooking the water and walking distance to many waterfront seafood restaurants can’t be beat. Iztok, and his lovely parents could not have been more welcoming and accommodating of our many requests and questions. They shared the house’s romantic history while we sipped on a welcome wine. A great selection of eclectic art. Easy to find and Iztok helped us with our luggage straight from the square to the room. We stayed in the smaller cute upper floor loft room, there are a few flights of stairs but that helps you burn off the gelato! When we left they arranged a free cart shuttle to our car. Can’t recommend enough.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful historic building right on the main square! Our room was lovely, featuring two roof windows that provided a fantastic view. Just a little tip: there isn’t an elevator, so be ready for some stairs. The owner was incredibly welcoming and even greeted us with a glass of wine!
When you visit Piran, you’ll need to park outside the city, but don’t worry—the hotel offers free parking. When you first arrive, grab a temporary city parking ticket and park as close to the main square as you can to check in and drop off your luggage. The owner was so thoughtful; he provided us with a voucher for temporary parking, so we didn’t have to pay!
He also guided us to the free parking lot on his scooter, which was such a nice touch. Plus, he gave us a complimentary bus card for a quick 5-minute ride back to the hotel. Once you park, it’s just a short walk and an elevator ride down to the bus stop, which conveniently drops you off right at the main square.
