Very clean, spacious rooms and bathrooms and nice shared kitchen. Slippers only inside, nice view of the river, and easy to get into the old town via busses.
Security cameras in common areas (not really a problem), it's a long walk from the town center and train station.

some of our items from the fridge mysteriously disappeared and changed places randomly, the lady cleaning the apartment was kind of aggressive. the rules and the staff can feel a little too intrusive

Very clean accommodations. Beds were comfortable. Communal kitchen and dining rooms available and a seating room. Outside of the city center but easy access with the bus line. Pleasant stay, would stop by again.

Clean. We got lucky as there was staff on site for arrival (which made the door entry easier to work out). The kitchen was well equipped, we only used it for breakfast. Everything was clean.
Nothing. The location was walkable to town and walkable to a laundromat (about 1km). There is no parking. But there are some areas where you could park nearby.

When “Hospitality” Means Surveillance, Shaming, and Emotional Harm –
We stayed two nights. That was enough. Actually, too much. This is not a guesthouse. It’s a place where guests are watched like suspects, spoken to like children, and treated as if human emotion itself is a problem.
You want to talk about “respect”? Let’s do that.
Because what you call “respect” — we experienced as strict, real-time surveillance, condescending policing, and total disregard for emotional privacy.

Let’s address the shoe incident — once and for all.
Yes, I returned that first evening wearing flip-flops I had walked out in. A mistake — absolutely. We immediately acknowledged it and apologized over Booking.com. That was it.
But within 10 minutes of re-entering the house, we received a message — a direct sign that the internal cameras are actively watched, not just for safety, but for personal enforcement. You may bury the camera photo at the very end of the listing, but this moment confirmed: our movements were being scrutinized live. Not only is this disturbing — it’s not clearly communicated.

Let’s talk about the balcony — the moment we knew this place wasn’t safe.
The next morning, around 9 or 10 a.m., I was sitting on the balcony having a conversation with a close friend. I was crying. Softly. Not shouting. Not laughing. Crying. It was a personal moment — not disruptive in any normal context. But instead of compassion or even a polite request, the host appeared with a Google Translate message telling us to stop talking.
No hello. No kindness. Just a command — delivered coldly, in a space we paid to stay in.
You could have asked us to lower our voices. But that’s not what you do here. Instead, you monitor, wait, and confront.

After the balcony incident, I left the house. My friend followed. That’s when a host suddenly emerged, clearly trying to “catch her” doing something wrong. She wasn’t.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet neignbourhood on the river Ljubljanica. It's exceptionally clean and equipped as described. There is a parking space in the vicinity and the bus stop is also near. For the people with the small children there is a playground nextdoor. All in all exceptional accommodation.
The only downside were 2 beds. We had a room for 4 with a queen bed and 2 twin beds, and the latter were somewhat uncomfortable, since they give in under the body weight in the middle of the bed. Pillows were fine, as well as the linen, just the matress seems in need of a replacement/fix.

House is nice and everything clean.Good location.Beautiful view of the river from the balcony.
Well other guest don't have manners,some are noisy you can hear them coming in and out of their rooms slamming the door,talking over their phones in middle of the night in loudspeaker?but I understand it's not management fault just some people are careless about others.Maybe I guess they should change door locks into more less noisy and make some changes on the floor and staircases coz it makes noise even when you step in gently but other than that everything is okay.

The room was clean and beds were ok. Shared bathroom was very clean and had good space and facilities. Kitchen was great with good equipment but you weren't allowed to cook anything that had a strong smell which could mean anything so that was a bit odd but we just made simple food. Great balcony overlooking the river. A great cheap accommodation option thats a bit of a walk from the city centre/station but it's not too bad. Lovely host checked us in.

- presence of the kitchen (with fridge, cooker, microwave oven) and most of the basic equipment (just noodle sieve missed me)
- the photos of the room matched the reality
- for me it was too distant from the railway station, where I was present almost daily (40 min. walk or 10 - 20 min. by bus)
- light from my room was visible to the hall
- older wooden entrance door and windows did not fully seal (it could be a problem in case of serious winter)

I needed a last minute accomodation due to work related needs. I needed to finish some asigments to present on monday, the quietness and tidiness allowed me to comfortably prepare. The host was very pleasant with my wishes and Mr Alex accomodated above and beyond. Will definetly be a more frequent guest, since I have regular meetings in Ljubljana.

The common areas were very nice and clean. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking a meal but mind the restrictions about smells and such( there are a lot) .In the bathrooms they provide shower gel and shampoo so if you’re passing by for a night stay , good for a shower.
The room we were in was very cold, never really heated up during our 3 days stay even with the extra small electric heater we had at our disposal. The room smelled kind of moist and moldy. We figured it’s cause of the windows and the carpet since they are very old . Maybe just bad luck with the room.
Also it smelled like cigarette smoke even though smoking in the rooms is apparently strictly forbidden. Clearly people before did not respect the restrictions.
We were a bit surprised at the end, we left the room at 10.00 as requested and we were in the common living room for about 40 minutes since we were waiting for the connection we had from Ljubljana to our next destination. The host was not pleased with us being there and kinda kicked us out saying there would be a 4000 € fine if someone would find us there. (Who?!)Kind of strange story but we respected the wishes and left. But would definitely not come back because of the latest.
