The stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to help and accommodate guests’ needs. A big advantage is the free and spacious parking, which is especially convenient for those traveling by car. The food was decent and satisfying, and the hotel’s location is excellent, situated in a quiet part of Ljubljana while still being close to the city center. Overall, it is a great choice for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

We booked at a last minute just for an overnight stay to continue elsewhere. The room was good and clean, the checkin was convenient, the receptionist even waited for us a tad longer, as we arrived a little bit late. The breakfast was basic, but plentiful and sufficient.
The beds weren't exactly what I would describe as comfortable.

The Bed and Breakfast Portal was easy to locate from the town square. The outside of the building was inviting. Tables and chairs were available on the patio. Very pleasant staff. There is an adjoining bar with outside seating. The room was very clean and comfortable. Morning breakfast was varied, fresh and very tasty. We were very pleased with our one night stay.

The staff was very helpful and nice. The building is new and the decor was pleasant.
There were minor inconveniences like a leaking shower. The breakfast also could have more options and things like eggs and sausages were cold, but still everything was tasty.

Friday and Saturdays could be quite noisy up-to 1 am, since they have parties with live music.. The bar/restaurant needs some renovation.

I'm writing to share my unfortunate experience at a hotel in Ljubljana, Slovenia, during a recent business trip. Unfortunately, the hotel fell short in several key areas.
Upon arrival, the check-in process was disorganized, and we had to retrieve our room key from the bar counter due to the unavailability of the guest service desk. The staff's unwelcoming demeanor set the tone for our stay.
Our room was plagued by relentless traffic noise, making sleep nearly impossible. The following morning, breakfast was underwhelming, with limited options and an unusable coffee machine. Moreover, the buffet lacked basic hygiene measures, such as sneeze guards and serving utensils.
Regrettably, the servers were consistently rude throughout our stay. In a disturbing incident, hotel staff lit garbage on top of my car, mistakenly assuming it didn't belong to a guest.
During checkout, we encountered further issues when the hotel attempted to charge us extra.
In light of these experiences, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel for business or leisure trips to Bed and breakfast Hotel Portal. Instead, consider alternative options.

Quite clean and good facilities of rooms
The night we slept there was a wedding downstairs and we couldn’t sleep at all until 2-3am. The hotel informed us only few days before arriving about the possibility of bigger noise and so we didn’t have a chance to book something in a similar price elsewhere as everything was booked out since there was marathon.
