The property is right on Lake Bohinj! It’s a ~20 min walk to town, creating a more a relaxing environment. The hostel is right across from a bus stop. During the summer season, it is very convenient! If you are staying outside the summer season, factor in walking time to town/nearest bus station.
The following suggestions would improved the stay for hikers dependent on public transit:
- Start breakfast earlier than 6:45AM. Some of the regular/summer season bus schedules require you to leave the hostel at/before breakfast starts.
- Have a community fridge. I understand not wanting to open the kitchen to the public, but allowing guests to keep yogurt or sandwhich meat would be useful, especially if the breakfast time conflicts with the bus schedule.

The location was perfect, right across the road from the lake, with nice places to sit outside. The double twin room was very very small but it was a good price and the beds and bedding were quite comfortable. Having only one shower and toilet in the whole floor was a bit of a challenge, but they had others in the main floor as well which we didn't know about until we were leaving. The pretty young gal who waited on us in the evening with our wine, was super sweet and more friendly than the check in staff. Overall a great stay and value.

Pleasant
The property is located right across from the lake, so if you like water sports, this is the place for you. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of food and even has a panini press for your bread! There’s also a washing machine for 6 Euros. The property is at a bus stop.
There was only ONE shower for 12 rooms, if I counted correctly. I usually had to wait in line to take a shower. There was one bathroom on the first floor and three more downstairs. It would have been nice to have female only rooms!! The staff wasn’t overly friendly or helpful. The property does not have a kitchen or fridge for general use, so you can either eat at the hostel’s restaurant (limited offerings) or walk 20 minutes into town.

Lively place, breakfast included, beer on tap. Basic, comfy rooms/bathrooms. Knowledgeable staff. They offer meals (for a price, of course)
It's located a bit out of town. It's on the main bus route, but it seemed busses would come at random times. They don't offer food storage (fridge, cabinets, etc) so you basically have to eat there, or go into town.

Only 1 male bathroom for the entire floor, not a problem if you’re staying in a off month but during the busy season the 1 shower for all gets annoying

The room was clean and big. The location is very central and has all the amenities close by. Breakfast in the morning has a good selection as well.
The floor board in the hall was creaking very badly, they put a carpet on it to mute it but that didn't do much to cover the noise.

Great location, close to the several hikes. Friendly staff. We were off season and it was really quite. Shower and wc are shared but there was newer a queue. Amazing small yard (aka garden) with a view at the lake were you can chill.
Breakfast is rather basic. Facilities can be renovated

It is right on Lake Bohinj, which is beautiful. They give you discounts on the equipment you can rent there. Beds came with outlets and towels. Free breakfast was okay.

Location is simply fantastic. Several sports options are available on site. Discounts are given to customers sleeping at the hostel. Breakfast is varied and plentifull.

Wonderful
Excellent value for those looking to explore Triglav NP and Bled areas - particularly if interested in meeting others doing the same thing. Staff was very helpful with advice on where to go (specifically the best approach to hiking the Triglav in a day from Bohinj area) and has an excellent selections of maps and guidebooks available. In addition to breakfast, a basic AYCE cafeteria-style dinner was included during my stay (potatoes or rice with chicken or beef patties + salad bar) that was very much appreciated after a long day of hiking.
