So many positive things to say! The Chalet was very comfortable, super clean & spacious. Breakfasts were delicious, & it was a short walk to town. The staff were very nice & helpful. And the grounds & gardens beautiful.

Staff was super nice, I had an emergency and the lady at the reception helped me a lot and cared a lot. Overall very nice place, close and comfortable parking, a 5 minute walk from Lake Bled

I loved the gardens, the staff (“we are all family here” :) ), and THE BREAKFAST! It is the best ever! It was a wonderful stay. The view of the castle outside my window was such a pleasure.

Pretty satisfied with my stay at Penzion Mayer. The location is very convenient, with easy access to Bled and its main tourist attractions. The staff is friendly, especially the administrator, who gave me great recommendations and tips for getting around Bled and visiting other places in Slovenia. If I ever have the chance to return, I would definitely stay at Penzion Mayer again.

We really enjoyed the stay to the full. The staff is so friendly and kind, even if you have special requirements. And trust me, you won't find a better holiday breakfast. Beautifully arranged, creative and with big attention to detail. I could only highly recommend. Big thanks to the whole team for the effort.

Lovely, peaceful hotel just 3-4 minutes walking distance to the lake, but away from the bustle of busy Bled. The hotel has private parking, and they let me park my motorcycle under cover which was nice since a couple of thunderstorms rolled through while I was there. There is an elevator to take you up to the rooms. The hotel did not have air conditioning (a concern since I was traveling by motorcycle during the heatwave) but the room I got was on the cool side of the building. And they are able to keep the unit cool with a (really silent) ceiling fan and strategic luften. The room itself was large and very comfortable. The bathroom (with tub!) was very clean and felt large, with excellent water pressure. The bed was European firm, the pillows surprisingly not European soft! The grounds of the hotel are immaculate, as is the dining room. Breakfasts were very good with fresh breads and salads (from their garden!) as well as fresh fruit. Eggs were made to order. There is a hotel is really quiet, despite the house being wooden, the floors are well made so you can’t hear people walking around or up/down the stairwell.
Nothing! If I had to nitpick, it would be the sound of the delivery truck coming early to deliver fresh baked goods.

This property felt so homey and comfortable. Great family atmosphere and amazing customer service. The employees are so kind and attentive. They want you to have a great experience and the service shows. This stay was the highlight of my trip to Slovenia and the highlight of my trip to Bled. And the food service for breakfast is amazing. Always something new to try and they give you eggs and ham with your breakfast. Amazing healthy selection for breakfast!

The breakfast was great and helped us have a great beginning of each day. From the made to order eggs to fruits and vegetables, everything was fresh. A bonus was home made pastries and always the coffee machine.
We really can't think of anything that we didn't like.

This property was so quiet and beautifully maintained, a 5 min walk above Lake Bled. The staff and the breakfasts were lovely. We enjoyed our evenings on our little terrace drinking wine after the busy days. Would definitely recommend this property.

Staying at Penzion Mayer was wonderful! The rooms are simple but clean. Parking is included as well as breakfast. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Everyone working there was so kind and helpful.

Very welcoming and friendly.
My king bed room on 1st floor was spacious, bright and clean. The gardens are lovely, quiet, and very ‘homey’.
Upon arrival, I made a tea in the room and then sat in the garden to unwind from travel….rarely have I experienced such a comfortable outdoor space…especially with the sweet aroma of flowers, trees and fresh air.

Not the responsibility of Penzion Mayer….(just a poorly chosen online map) but the walking directions from bus station was quite the trek down to the lake then up various inclines, multiple stairs, and through construction on the main road….only to be redirected back the way I came then more stairs. But the long walk was worth it…it’s a lovely location !

Very helpful to me as I needed to visit the grocery and wanted a nearby restaurant - original Oldest Bled Cellar - what a treat! Rustic yet refined ($$). Was given directions that were straightforward and with no stairs!! It was a lovely walk ((10-15 minutes to grocery) and discovered this route is much more straightforward, faster, no also led to bus station.

Highly-recommended property that will treat you like family. The facilities are top-notch, the bed and linens are fresh and comfortable, and the breakfast is more than enough to fill you for the entire day. The location captures the serenity of Bled. The hospitality made me love Slovenia.

This is a cute clean family guesthouse. Loved the flowers in the yard, window boxes and the tulips in the lobby and the fireplace on at night. Amazing homemade breakfast with lots of variety and cappuccino machine. The staff is present and willing to help. Beds were comfortable cleanest windows in apt and remodeled bath. Great place!!!
