Very Good
Great location in Chinatown. Walking distance to the metro and great food!
While the hotel stay overall was fine, we were disappointed with the early morning service. We were told that staff would be available to assist us with calling a taxi at 7:00 a.m. However, when we went to the front desk, no one was present. We ultimately had to wake the early morning staff member to receive assistance.
For travelers with early departures, reliable front desk availability is very important. We hope the hotel improves staffing communication and coverage during early morning hours.

Lovely building in excellent location near endless food options, transport and walkable sights. Staff kindly accommodated our request for a late check out
We chose this hotel because of its old style and big windows in a buzzy part of town. All the windows are now sealed shut so no fresh air and minimal view of the street, I realise this is to help with AC and noise but it's a shame to feel so cooped up

I liked the 'heritage feel' of the place and the excellent location, pleasant to walk around. Several bars, restaurants within 5 minute walking distance.
The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful.
All Perfect!

Wonderful
The hotel boasts an excellent location, with both an MRT station and Maxwell Hawker Centre under a 2-minute walk away. Chinatown is also incredibly close, reachable within 2 minutes on foot. Despite being in a quiet corner, the surrounding area is a vibrant hub of activity, brimming with restaurants, charming cafes, and diverse food courts. Both of our rooms were comfortable and spacious, and we specifically chose this hotel because their rooms are larger than others in the area. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful.
TV station channel selection was limited.

Great location and super friendly staff! Excellent free wine from 5-6 pm every day in comfortable lounge. Good coffee machine to use in lounge area. Comfortable beds and quiet rooms. Large bathroom with makeup mirror! Good air conditioning and light blocking shades. Everything exceeded our expectations!
Creamer packets needed for in-room coffee. Better lighting in bathroom.

I liked spacious room and the interior. The coffee machine at the lobby is excellent. You could refill your bottle there with carbonized or still cold water and pick up some snakes for the tea. The place is quiet and calm to sleep at night.

Wonderful
The location in Chinatown is ideal! A block from the famous Maxwell Road Food Hall, a short walk from the subway, and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the free snacks and excellent 24/7 coffee in the comfortable lobby and the 5-6 pm free wine happy hour.
Minor complaints, but why a 9 instead of 10: strange arrangement of light switches and lighting in room, varied lighting in bathroom made applying makeup difficult, no comfortable chair in room (which is to be expected at this price point?), staff at front desk somewhat curt (Polite but not friendly).

Disappointing
The location is great, right in CBD and within walking distance from MRT and restaurants/nightlife. It is really nice that there's a coffee machine available all day in the lobby along with sweet and savory snacks.
Reception is supposed to be 24/7 but when I arrived just after 8pm there was only a security person available to assist. The room key was ready for me but I could not check in properly or ask any question or get any help (for example soap was missing in the room but had to go to 7/11 to buy some) and nobody assisted with my suitcases (I am visibly pregnant).
Throughout the day, if you are lucky that someone is staring at you going in and out then you'll be greeted, otherwise nobody pays attention (staff always away from the desk) - really don't make you feel welcome.
The daily housekeeping cannot be called housekeeping. Bed was made in a rush, coffee mug from the morning wasn't changed or washed and had to specifically ask. Then the mug got changed, but the spoon I used and rested on the saucer stayed there (?). Overall the cleanliness is lacking and the furniture and furnishings are pretty worn out and beaten (does not match property pics). The plug for the table lamp on the desk doesn't even fit the wall switch, what is the point?
Drinking water is freely available but you have to go downstairs and refill your own bottle.
Overall, this cannot be considered a 4* service level. It feels like a co-living or serviced apartment set up and it is not managed professionally and with care. Pics look good but it is staged and in person it is pretty disappointing.

Beautiful heritage looking building near famous Ann Siang Park. The team, especially Edward who checked us in was extremely warm and friendly. The rooms were massive compared what I have previously stayed in Singapore and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Nothing but was all amazing
