Långholmen Hotell is in a 19th century prison building on Långholmen Island in Stockholm. It offers free parking and unique prison cell rooms with flat-screen cable TVs and free Wi-Fi access. An attractive atrium gallery dating from 1866 is situated in the middle of the complex. Stockholm's most captivating prison museum is open daily, and guided tours are given on weekends. Great location, easy to access downtown. Truly amazing breakfast selection, almost like in a 5 star hotel. Super helpful staff. The cell is small, but fun for a few nights.

Overall very special hotel on a wonderful island close to the city center. Beach just outside the hoteldoor, many secluded places around the island to enjoy sunset, kayaking, ... Special atmosphere in the ancient prison but at no time frightening.
Dinner in the attached restaurant was dissapointing for us.

Excellent location, close to the city centre in a quiet area. I recommend renting the bycicles to roam around the various parts of the city. The staff was extremely nice. The room was as expected small but the experience of sleeping is an cell is worth the little discomfort. The breakfast was very various and good. We also dined in the restaurant one evening and it was really good.
We could not open the window of the bathroom autonomously. I would recommend to change that. The bed was little too soft for my taste.

It was cool that the hotel is an old prison. It is in a lovely location with easy access to central Stockholm. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. You can bathe in the lake outside the hotel. There was a nice restaurant/ bar next door.
The compact double rooms were very small. The bed was too short for tall people and both occupants have to get out of bed the same side. There was little space to sit in the room. Rooms can get hot and have no air conditioning.

Perfect location, the island is a green and calm corner of Stockholm. It is in the walking distance to the metro station. The breakfasts were delicious, they offered gluten-free options which was great. The room was small, obviously, but surprisingly comfortable! With a nice bathroom and large windows allowing a lot of sunlight (our room was in the fourth floor). Thank you for a pleasant stay.

The breakfast was very very good. The room was extremely clean.
Tiny shower. Prices at the hotel were a bit high for food and drink. The location was very good for me but prob not as good if you want to focus on old town and museums and stuff. Walked 20km in first day.
