Amazing place to stay whilst exploring Stockholm. Great location with a beach to swim from just outside the entrance. Beautifully renovated buildings and the prison museum inside the hotel is well worth a visit.
Breakfast with lots of varieties and healthy options. Very clean buffet and spacious dining area. Lovely courtyard in case of nice weather
Everything lived up to our expectations!
For a longer stay, a cupboard would have been ideal!

Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Front desk was very helpful. The history of the hotel and the prison motif gives the hotel some character. Långholmen is nice and quiet compared to the inner city and quite picturesque in Spring.
It’s a reasonable walk to the nearest public transport (bus/metro stop). Having said that it’s only a 25 minute walk into the old town. We arrived from the international ferry terminal and it was cheaper for our party of three to take an Uber to the hotel than go by public transport.

This was a unique experience staying in a former prison in a park like setting. Our beds were comfortable. The hotel was well maintained and clean. The breakfast was the best of our two week trip. The staff was very pleasant when we had questions or concerns.

It’s unique, the features of the prison has been preserved but instead of being dreadful it’s now charming and inviting. The staff is great plus being on an island surrounded by lake Mälaren is truly wonderful.

The location is superb both for holiday as well as business stay. A short walk to metro. The rooms have been recently renovated. Breakfast was excellent. Parking option for motorcycle made my day! All staff memebers were very pleasant and caring. Thank you!
I would have enjoyed longer stay, including weekend. Leavjnv this for the next time.

It is what it is. A fascinating converted prison. The staff were friendly, the cells clean and comfy, and the prison museum fascinating.
Be aware it is on an island away from the centre so taxis / bolt etc take a while to reach you and it is 15 min from bus / tube.
Highly recommended.
The restaurant is not part of the same business, and tbh we could have had the same steak anywhere in any boring conference hotel on the planet.
Nothing about the food was particularly Swedish , let alone prison food which was a shame.. but it is actually a seperate business.

Interesting and quite unique setup for a hotel. Really interesting museum attached, as well as a fantastic restaurant and bar. Really good breakfast included, and the rooms weren't as small as I was worried they would be, and they use the space they have well (good size bathrooms too). Staff were all really friendly and helpful, and you can tell the place is well looked after.
The mattress toppers kind of slid around on the bed a bit, might not be an issue for most people but was sightly annoying for us, but not a big deal. The curtains are not at all light blocking either so not great for sleeping in late. It is quite a walk into town (but along a lovely riverfront at least). No aircon, but that's probably not really an issue in Sweden most of the time, and the window open in the room at least.
