Location was lovely across from a park. The hotel was very nicely updated. Our room was very pretty, clean with a great bed, crisp linens and an elegant bath.
My requested quiet room was actually in the basement looking out at an enclosed space. No actual daylight. Eerie and seemed unsafe to be subterranean without an egress. There was also a hot water issue for our showers. The staff didn’t seem very interested about our concerns. rude. Also, they started shutting down and clearing the expensive breakfast before the 10 am ending. They did not make exceptions to get more coffee one minute after breakfast closed

Location just outside the busy tourist areas but close enough to walk into, very clean and tidy.
They were slightly light on staff, the barman had to also deliver all the room service whilst serving the restaurant and manning the bar. He did excellently and was lovely but needed to offer a waiting drink he could pour quickly to appease some guests.

Beds were comfy and decor was nice
Basement room with a window leading out into the 'inside courtyard'. The window didn't open and there was so way of adjusting the temperature in the room which felt very claustrophobic and warm due to the lack of light. I would have expected the 'inside courtyard' to be brighter to make up for the lack of sunlight, but it was pitch black at all times which made it feel like it was night time. We asked for a fan due to the temperature but this never arrived. My sister had booked the hotel for her wedding and had booked a more expensive room with park view –– in order to get ready for her wedding day however the blinds were down on the windows all day, making it dark and obscuring the view they had paid extra for in order to take wedding photos. Despite speaking to the staff about this on several occasions, it wasn't solved. The staff came in 20 minutes before we needed to leave for the wedding (2+ hours after flagging the issue) to say that we could move everything to the suite to get ready, which was obviously way too late.

Beautifully done space, excellent sound proofing in rooms, wonderful service. We loved the breakfast buffet overlooking the park too!

I loved the location, the staff is amazing, and the value is really good. Also the place is really clean!
