Wonderful
The room is smaller but comfortable. The breakfast was exceptionally good with wonderful cheerful and helpful staff. They were sincerely happy to be there. Engla at the reception desk was kind and considerate setting a fine example for guest services. The staff's attitude really made a difference. We were impressed by the inculcation of true hospitality by the Scandic management team from front of the house to the back of the house.
The wooden floors can be noisy especially someone above dragging the chair across the floor. We tried not to push the chair but had to lift it to avoid being noisy for the guests below us and be cautious about moving our luggage in the room.

The breakfast was great with quite some variety of food, the staff of the hotel was very kind and helpful.
We were a bit disappointed by the bistro from the hotel, the staff wasn’t very friendly and the food was tasteless.

Front desk service was good and helpfull.
It is impossible to call the hotel. We wanted to inquire things before arriving. First call went to AI-bot, then to some distant call-service. We did not find any way to contact the Hotel by phone. We had to do extra trip to hotel before checking time to talk to the hotel personel

We got upgraded to a suite on the top floor with a beautiful view over the Stockholm roof tops and high ceiling. It ws absolutely beautiful. The buffet breakfast was delicious and contained everything you could wish for. The location is great with easy walking distance to the train station, the old town, the ferry boats and the shopping district (drottning gatan). An excellent stay.
Our family got two rooms pretty far apart from each other - the hotel was fully booked, we visited during July. However I believe most rooms in the hotel are actually connecting and if requested in sufficient time before arrival it might be possible to arrange.

Staff especially on check in were excellent. Friendly, kind.
Location was very convenient.
Asked for a bath on booking and didn't get a response or a bath on check in.
Bed was standard european "2 singles as 1 double", but had no fitted sheet so one of us kept falling into the crack between the beds all night. Needs to be rectified.

I liked the proximity to the train station with lots of food options nearby.
I felt the bathroom was lacking storage space for the toiletries, and the room didn’t have a lot of overhead lighting so I found the room dark at night even when all lights were switched on. Perhaps a personal preference but a non-issue for others.
