Featuring a hip lounge, several social spaces and a bar with Nordic-inspired cocktail drinks, Generator Stockholm is located in the Norrmalm district of Stockholm. At this hostel, you can choose dormitory rooms or private guest rooms. Each private guest room features a private bathroom with shower, and dormitory rooms share private bathroom facilities. All rooms have a city view. Free WiFi is available at this hostel. A restaurant, cafe and 24-hour reception are also featured at Generator Stockholm. Drottninggatan Shopping Street is a 6-minute walk from the hostel, while Sergels Torg Square is 0.7 mi away. Stockholm Central Station is just a 10-minute walk away. Please note that dogs are the only pets than can be accommodated. Dogs are allowed in Private rooms only for an extra fee of 250 SEK per pet per night, upon request. Pets are not permitted in dorms. Generator Stockholm welcomes all guests for stays of up to 28 consecutive nights. This maximum stay applies whether the nights are booked under a single reservation or across multiple bookings. We do not provide a shared kitchen facilities, however we offer incredible local food in both Hilma Bar and Frida’s Cafe.

Very Good
Room was nice, toilet clean. There is space under the bed to fit a bag and perhaps one carry on. You can lock it with your own padlock. But if you have check-in luggage it will have to be stored in the luggage storage area.
I can't recall much, but definitely no glaringly bad experiences.

Budget friendly for travelers (especially compared to the prices you pay in Stockholm), great if you go solo. Breakfast deals are amazing, staff was really patient, helpful and kind.

Wonderful
I am very petty when it comes to hostels and this place met all my expectations. Clean, comfy beds, a spacious bathroom with necessary toiletries, the place is well-commuted and right where you want to be when planning to explore the city. The place bursts with life and allows you to met many fellow travelers.
I wish the beds were secluded with some sort of curtains for more privacy at night. Also people snore.

On Saturday, my last day, there is a party 1st floor and the music was too loud, so I couldn't sleep well.

Reception Staff definitely need more training - I understand that they are relatively new, however, on multiple occasions (twice with the same person), anything beyond standard pre-programmed responses was difficult to get. Twice (across 2 stays) I had to change my room, as the room was a furnace with no aircon or open windows, and the same person at reception was extremely difficult to work with (once even blatantly saying that "no rooms had aircon", "we can't just change rooms like this" etc), and miraculously on both occasions getting me a room (which by the way was in the same category, not higher). I had left my baggage for a day as I was traveling to Finland - had a detailed with the reception staff (again, not cooperative, finally understanding), I mentioned I had an early flight, and they confirmed they would inform the morning staff. I come down in the morning and nobody has a clue, and I have to run to the airport train since I had to spend more time explaining the situation again, albeit to a more professional gentleman. So, training, definitely.

It was a good location and stuff was nice.
Would be nice to have some shelves in the shower. Had a crazy lady in the dorm. Got knocked on the door of the bathroom at 2am while getting ready for bed. Being called bitch and asked what I am even doing there and how I got in…she also laughed like crazy at 5am….the stuff let me change the room for my last night but probably didn’t do anything about her being there so she happily annoyed other girls.

Overall, the stay was good. The location was convenient, the staff were super friendly, and the facilities were great.
The room was extremely hot. The curtains had to be kept closed most of the time to block the sunlight, but even then, it was almost impossible to stay in the room during the afternoon. It was more comfortable outside the room than inside.
