Downtown Camper by Scandic is centrally located in Stockholm, just 8 minutes' walk from Stockholm Central Station. The breakfast! One of the best I've ever saw.
There are a lot of activities but all very limited... I thought it would be more kids-friendly but it wasn't. The branding and marketing in the hotel is very present and it loses it authenticity. DOn't get me wrong, there is an average good service, rooms are clean and more or less practical but price-quality I don't agree 100%.

The location was excellent. The rooftop bar was an added bonus. Hotel was clean and "campy".
It is a very dim/dark hotel. Zero bright lights anywhere. Was a little concerning in the hallways that are even painted with darker colors. Beds were on the hard side. Room never got cooled. Bath tub wall was real high and floor slippery, very hard to get in and out to shower. Super small bathroom, a little larger than an outhouse.

Great location, fantastic breakfast. It was clean. Most staff were very helpful.
They do a “bait and switch” about the pool. Registered hotel guests, those with rooms, have to pay $65 (Can) to use it. They use it to attract customers but aren’t transparent about the extra cost.

The property is located centrally in Stockholm, you can walk easily to see all attractions, and also reach the central station by foot. There is an area to sit that does not require to buy food or drinks. The roof top bar provides a nice view over the city.

A clear system that works well for a large number of guests. Bike to hire, activities to join, amazing breakfast and clean facilities.
You have to pay for the sauna and it was advertised on Booking.com that we get a free taxi transfer to the accomodation but then they did not honor it.

Loved our stay at Downtown Camper. Very comfortable and great sized room and bathroom. Great breakfast buffet - it is a large hotel so was quite busy, but it was easy enough to get a seat and get what you wanted. Particularly loved the community feel of it and the activities they ran - we did a few of them and they were fantastic. The staff went above and beyond - really accommodating on a couple of requests like a short late check out so we could do one of the included activities. The location was brilliant for exploring Stockholm on foot and getting to the water for a ferry - if we had our windows open it was quite noisy from the street below, but it didn't cause any issues. It was also great to have luggage storage although I'd note that guests let themselves into the room, so it's not as secure as if it was behind a front desk and you were given a ticket - we didn't have any problems with it though and they have CCTV. Would absolutely stay here again in Stockholm.
It's pretty busy and sometimes there is a wait for a lift or in a breakfast buffet queue - but that just goes with being in a large hotel and it didn't detract from the stay.
