Breakfast was absolutely sensational and location was very central. Short walk to the park with the library and multiple transit lines. The surrounding area has a hopping, lively and loud night life (wonderful for some but not for families). They provided ear plugs in the room with no air conditioning. We figured out why later on the first evening...
Hotel was hosting a very loud, late night electronica concert in the lobby bar of which we were unaware until they were setting up at 9 pm when we were going up to bed. We had two rooms and the second room had no air conditioning so we had to leave the windows open as it was very hot and stuffy in the room. Unfortunately that meant we were listening to loud electronica and police cars until 5 am. The hotel-provided ear plugs were a nice touch but not sufficient.

The location is very good. The room for a family with one child was great and nice .
It’s a very very very loud music outside till 5 am .
We stayed from Sunday till Monday and we could not sleep even with the air plugs ( they were provided)
I could not believed that such loud music is allowed in the city center. Poor neighbors

Fantastic location! Easy walk to the waterfront and fantastic restaurants. It’s an older hotel with a lot of character which I prefer.
Given that it’s older , there are a few stairs. You have to carry your suitcases up.

Beautiful hotel with lavish decor, beautiful bathrooms, beautiful beds and seating, and a great atmosphere. The location is convenient and upscale, the hotel architecture is elegant and includes an internal and external tower. The free breakfast is quite good, the views are nice, and the rooms feel artistic, lush, and luxury.
The only negatives were the noise that gets into the rooms and the curtains. It’s a noisy location, and unfortunately the sound enters the rooms. Earplugs and a white noise machine can help this. Last, in the summer, sunrise is around 4am…the curtains do blackout the areas they cover, but they did not cover the wall around the windows, so light still spilled in. Otherwise, it’s a great spot, the staff is nice and accommodating, and the rooms are gorgeous.

They don’t help with luggage upon arrival (there is a small set of stairs you have to go up to get into the hotel, along with to the elevator)

Great location, very nicely appointed facilities. Breakfast buffet was expansive.
Room billed as sleeping 4 with two beds was a queen with a sofa bed. The room - which apparently was upgraded at check in to a larger size - was so small that the gap between the sofa bed and main bed was only about 4 inches. Tight quarters for a family of 4!

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel, and the room with the balcony is absolutely lovely. There is a lot to choose from in the minibar and on top of that, free icecream, more than you could possibly eat. The staff is excellent and so is the location, right in the center of town. Go for room 213. It's very nice.
It would be good if there were more international TV-channels to choose from, CNN and BBC, for instance. Breakfast was great but what could be added is some more fruit and baked beans.

I loved the vibe of the hotel, the architecture and décor. The layout is confusing but in an good way with nooks and crannies throughout. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were a pleasure to talk to.
Not the fault of the hotel itself but found virtually all other guests were Swedish and there in groups. Not the easiest when you're solo and do not speak the language.
