Good
Spacious room with a beautiful sea view if you're on upper floors.
I also loved the cable car, such a fun way to get to your room.
AirCon worked well and so did the fridge.
Troppo, the restaurant next door is THE added value to King Sal (same owner)
No free wifi in the room.
Gets noisy ont the weekend.
The plumbing could use some repair.
The hotel is undergoing major renovations which is great - we could have used a little bit of warning though.

Poor
I just love the dinner
Everything. Wifi is not free, I had to pay for it. The room was even worse, old rattling aircon that wasn't working, bathroom was old without any bathroom mats, fan was even louder when I switched it on. Everything looked old and not the value of money. Will not be using this hotel again. A total waste of money.

Poor
Central location, bar food was decent. Airport shuttle available
Arrived and was told they had overbooked and would not be able to have the two rooms I paid for. After debate, two rooms were provided. Facilities advertised such as gym did not exist, gym has been gutted and is empty. Rubbish from previous guest in bedside table, stray dogs and cats throughout walkways. Wifi non existent unless you pay. Extremely loud music Friday and Saturday nights,

Good
I was concerned given the low score of this hotel, but I had a good experience. The staff was helpful and the place is beautiful (although yes, lots of stairs). Also, it is very well located - walking distance to the few cafes, restaurants and museums in the center, as well as to a supermarket. They have a shuttle to the airport which is cheaper than the taxi. Airport is max 30 minutes by car, wharf is 5 minutes. The food is also ok, though nothing special.
Some things where misleading from Booking - e.g. you can't actually add breakfast, there is only a menu with a few breakfast options. The wifi only works at the restaurant and bar, you can purchase it for the room but it only works on one device... I recommend getting a free simcard at the airport and paying for internet through that, it's cheaper. The room was cleaned regularly, but when I left the towels in the shower (to request a change, as per hotel's instructions), they were not changed - the same stains where still there. Towels and bed sheets were also very old. Overall a bit expensive for what you get, but there's not much choice in Honiara.

Good central location
No mosquito nets and the mosquitoes can get into the room through the cracks in the door. Very noisy until very late at night on Fridays as it seems to be one of the most popular bars in town, even if you have one of the rooms up in the top you’ll hear the noise. It definitely needs some renovation, expensive for what you get.

The hotel had an interesting setup of cablecar to go
up to the rooms ..
The only efficient and helpful staff was Florence the Manager
The bathrooms were not that clean maybe because there were so many guests ..the receptionists need Much Training in Helpfulness and mindful of the needs of their guests like running the Cable car to go to the rooms ...and knowing how to look for guests in the Computer ...

Very Poor
There wasn't anything positive
1. Extremely LOUD live music in the lobby until 3:00 am, imposible to sleep!
2. Back of toilet disconnects when you flush and all the water comes out on the floor.
3. No shower curtains in the shower
4. Air conditioner doesn't work correctly.
5. Tiles on the floor are broken.
6. We only had one towel in the room and had to ask for another twice.
Etc, etc, etc...

Disappointing
The location is convenient to everything in the downtown area. The staff was helpful and friendly, rate was OK but I had to pay for wifi in the room separately.
Had to pay extra for wifi in the room and TV wouldn't connect to wifi. First night there I had no hot water, after the long flight I was really looking forward to it. Friday and Saturday night there was loud music until early in the morning.
