The hosts were great, and the room was exceptional. The location was perfect - right in the center of old town. We got a fantastic recommendation for dinner, and breakfast in the Residence was excellent!

The hospitality, the service were great. Well stocked, both historic and well equipped. Breakfast was amazing, pear juice was very good. John on reception was very helpful and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the 1609 bar area. Dracula’s castle joke made it feel like an experience. Shop owners next door were also lovely. Helped us with parking, followed up and guarded our vehicle.

Location is ideal. Very cool old building with lots of levels and different staircases and rooms in multiple places. All of this surrounding a very pretty courtyard that was brimming with flowers and plants. The vaulted bar area was a favorite - have a drink in there even if you're tempted to stay outside! Lots of awesome artifacts around hotel, lots of brick, lots of little nooks and original features - just lovely!
Our room was pretty with very rustic wood floors and old world charm. No A/C but it wasn't too bad overnight. We did have a bunch of ants streaming into one corner of the room, unclear where they came from. And shower head was messed up so it didn't come out of the head, but spurt in every direction from the hinges - had to put that down and just take more of a bath! Somewhat disappointing breakfast. But price point wasn't overly hight, especially for a popular tourist destination in summer, so we weren't put off!

Location. Apartment was spacious and comfortable with some modern touches. Coffee available in room but it’s the instant type. Coffee pods would be nice Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Nice outdoor patio. Cozy breakfast room. Convenient parking.
Due to the hotel being in an old historic building there are a lot of tricky stone steps without an elevator. That’s to be expected. However, walking to/from our room there were no handrails to hold onto and lighting was very poor. We had to be very careful going back and forth to our room. It was especially difficult with suitcases although staff tried to help as much as possible. It would be even more dangerous if the steps were wet. Breakfast had limited choices although you could order cooked eggs. On last day we found out by accident that staff would make various coffee drinks. A pot of coffee was available with the buffet and we thought that’s all they offered.

The hotel staff were just wonderful, they couldn’t do enough for you! The location was excellent, right out the door to the old city. The rooms were large, very clean and so quiet! With so enjoyed our stay at Fronius!

Lovely ethnic decor and ambiance, attentive and courteous staff, attention to details to make us feel welcomed.
Beds were hard and pillows are overfilled too which may be to some people’s liking. We just did not rest very well.
