The hotel is an historical building very well refurbished and preserved while keeping the historic aspect. The room was clean , spacoius.Personel polite and ready to give you information.For breaksft might be place for improvmnet but overall I spent a very nice weekend .

From Bucharest, North Station, we took a private train and arrived at Constanta Station in two hours. The hotel is easily accessible from the station by bus in a few minutes or on foot in half an hour. The hotel, chic and elegant, is located in a historic building with a bohemian, boutique feel. From the hotel, it is a few minutes' walk to Modern Beach (which looks generally unkempt), the old town (which doesn't look great and is partially renovated), and a quarter of an hour to Tomis Port (decent and diverse), the seafront, and Constanta Casino (newly renovated and superb). The museums are also within walking distance, but some of them were closed: the history museum is 6 minutes away, the archaeology museum is 3 minutes away, and the art museum (which is wonderful!) is only a 3-minute walk away. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit the Ion Jalea Museum - 10 minutes on foot. Around the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, pubs, and supermarkets where you can shop or relax, for various budgets and tastes, Turkish, Lebanese, Italian, Asian, and traditional. Room 104A, where we stayed, was quite spacious and bright, furnished with classic furniture, tastefully decorated and with attention to detail for increased visual and practical comfort. We had a pretty good breakfast, although minimalist, covering every category, from juice, coffee, tea, milk, to cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables, fried foods, fruits, and desserts. They allowed us to check in early and kept our luggage safe after check-out. The staff was communicative, responsive, and eager to help with our requests and comments.
At check-in, they forced us to fill out a form agreeing not to give negative feedback before contacting them to try to resolve the issue, but surprise! In the room we were staying in, there was a sign on the front door recommending that we give feedback on various review sites. The hotel needs repairs in some places, the white walls are dirty and stained around the vents and air conditioning, and the wallpaper needs to be replaced or re-pasted, because in some places it is peeling off, which is not okay for a four-star hotel, giving it an unkempt appearance (value for money). The TV is too small and poorly positioned in relation to the double bed. At breakfast, all the fried foods were completely cold and not hot as they should have been (omelet, sausages, bacon) and were not stored in a special compartment with constant heat. We didn't try the jacuzzi because it wasn't working, and for the sauna, we had to give a few dozen minutes' notice, and we didn't have time to try it. Maybe we missed it, but we didn't find anything dedicated to families with small children, such as a special play area or entertainment. They don't have a system for validating luggage left after check-out, so it's basically a matter of trust, and anyone could take your luggage when you leave.

There is too much furniture in the room and the smell, old furniture smell. In the shower, there was mold. Petty, because the bathroom is nice decorating

I had a great stay at Hotel Carol – the room was elegant, spacious, very comfortable and very clean. The staff were kind and professional, and the location is perfect, close to the bus station, beach, old town, restaurants. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the fresh, tasty breakfast. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Constanța!

I enjoyed the vintage and nautical style of this hotel. The bed was amazing! There was also a beautiful balcony. I enjoyed the breakfast and location too. The staff were very kind and helpful.
I believe there was a tub in the picture for the room that I ordered and I did not receive that so I was a bit disappointed.

Well I would call it nice 3* hotel but price was not bad (maybe low season in March...), just short walk to main shopping street, and not far away from old town and seaside. location is the best feature

This is s quiet hotel located in a historical building, 2 minutes walk from the sea and the beach. We liked everything - the room for which we got a free upgrade to junior suite; the breakfast which was very good and plentiful and the location - close to sea shore and away from the crowds. A very high mark goes to the staff who were accommodating our every single request. Will definitely stay again at Carol when traveling to Constanța.
