We had booked Salwa Ballroom for my sister’s wedding in June, and naturally expected that rooms for the bride’s and groom’s families would be secured. However, two months later, we were shocked to find that all rooms were sold out on every platform, which should not have happened. We had no option but to book a suite at double the price, and even then, the suite we received at check-in was different from the one we originally reserved.
Additionally, the bride was given the farthest and worst room for her preparation, despite the hallway being full of male UFC trainees—completely inappropriate for a bride getting ready. To make matters worse, there were one other bride staying in the same corridor on the same day, which made the situation even more unacceptable.
The bride and groom’s suite was also in very poor condition, which is shocking for a hotel of Sheraton’s status.

The hotel itself was beautiful — great facilities, comfortable rooms, and a nice atmosphere. ?
However, two mistakes occurred during my stay.?
First, I asked where breakfast was served and was told to go downstairs. After eating, I was unexpectedly charged extra, although my booking included breakfast. The staff later apologized and corrected the issue.
Second, although I informed the hotel in advance that I would arrive late from the airport, they assumed we had dinner there that night, which caused some confusion.
Both issues were eventually resolved, but it caused unnecessary stress and time loss.
Overall, still a nice hotel with room for improvement in guest communication. ✨

We just came back from the most wonderful stay at Sheraton Doha, and I honestly can’t say enough good things. We’ve stayed in some of the best hotels around the world, but this one truly stands above all expectations.
From the very beginning, everything was perfect. The service everywhere — in the restaurant, housekeeping, and especially the Club Lounge — was outstanding. The food in the lounge was delicious, but what really made it special were the people. The staff there were so kind, genuine, and friendly — they made us feel like family. Huge thanks to Hazal, Key, Qayyum, Shomitiri, Mouran, and Gita — you are all amazing!
Housekeeping was also fantastic. Our room was always spotless, and they surprised us every day with creative towel figures — such a lovely touch. A special thanks to Prem for that!
It was also my daughter’s 21st birthday, and the way the team celebrated with us was just beautiful — a cake and singing in our room, and then drinks and celebration in the lounge. It was so thoughtful and truly unforgettable.
Even by the pool, the staff were always there to help with towels, chairs, and anything we needed — always with a smile.
The hotel itself is stunning — stylish, clean, and perfectly maintained — but what really makes Sheraton Doha so special is the people who work there. Their warmth, honesty, and genuine care made our stay something we’ll always remember.
We will definitely be back soon. Thank you all for making our holiday the best ever! ?

The hotel and the beach are both very nice & good quality despite being an older hotel
Staff not well informed. Whatever they say you need to double check.
Upon check in the staff didn’t give any information about anything just the room card and wifi code. When we asked what time we can go to the beach they said 8 am, next day while waiting for the beach to open we saw people going as early as 7 am and checked ourselves they open 6 am not 8 am.
When asked about self parking we received two messages via booking.com that said both ‘self parking is complimentary’ and that ‘self parking is chargeable’ so you have to try to figure out yourself. The underground parking attendant said he didn’t know, had to go and ask someone, and he returned asking for money. Because nobody explained properly we guess that maybe valet is free but if you don’t want to wait for the valet you have to pay which makes no sense. We made sure we parked in the area marked ‘Sheraton guests’ and showed we are staying but they charged anyway.

I will never stay at this hotel again. After checking in, I went up to my room and discovered a present box inside. At first, I assumed it was a complimentary welcome present from the hotel. However, the box was mistakenly placed there. The most upsetting aspect is that I was the one who reported it, and hotel staff entered my room without my consent to remove the box. At the time, I had documents with sensitive information in the room, thus this was a major invasion of my privacy. Furthermore, we encountered severe delays at check-in, and the staff took a long time to produce a receipt. Overall, my stay was really uncomfortable. I sincerely hope that the hotel reconsiders its policies regarding guest privacy and service standards.
