The location in theory is excellent, but the area is not safe enough for walking around anyway, not for me. Except in early morning perhaps. Uber works well here though, so riding to destinations would have been fine. They did grant me an early check in, the suite with a view was fantastic. Front desk staff kind and fluent in English. The problem was the absolutely horrendous music volume and genre played at the pool starting at 4pm which rattled my windows on the sixth floor and woke me up from much needed travel fatigue. I left 30 minutes later.
If you are going to blast pool music, you need to inform hotel guests of the hours it will be allowed - and keep it to a minimum amount of hours or at least be clear. There are some kinds of guests who don't want what you were doing AT ALL. Secondly, the hallways and elevators are not air conditioned so if you travel in the hot months be forewarned. The hotel is very dated. I booked all 5 star hotels on a trip through seven South American countries and this was second to last in satisfaction.

The major advantage of this hotel is it's excellent central location.
It's a bit dated hotel, windows need some isolation (super noisy from outside when you literary can hear every single word from the street), breakfast with superlimited choices might be improved as well

Breakfast was very good. Pool and outside patio area are an oasis -- beautiful. Gorgeous lobby. Very clean and nice common areas. King sized bed was very comfortable. The parking was a huge blessing. We were always able to pull our car up near the lobby doors as if it was valet parking. Staff was very kind.
My biggest complaint is that the bathroom was very outdated, but for me, a pristine bathroom is very important. Also, we didn't love this old downtown part of town, but we felt safe. We much preferred the newer part of Asuncion.

A nice, comfortable hotel in the old part of Asunción. Nice staff, nice breakfast, nice restaurant on premises (important for dinner, see below)
The area surrounding the hotel is quite run down and much deserted of people after sunset, not inviting to walk out. Not much restaurant choice for dinner around, just one or two.

The location.
The restaurant. They should offer some local specialties. The fresh fruits were unripe and sour. Very límites menu and practically no vegetarian options.

Cheap price because the area is dirty,full of homeless,tasteless food at the restaurant. Not worth the cheap price. Go out and eat but limited surroundings.
