We spent three night at the York House and we absolutely loved our stay! The staff was welcoming and very accommodating. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again and recommend to other travelers!

It was very relaxed
It was quite a walk to recetion(50 steps) which i feel should be mentioned to people. Not enough to say no lift as that was only from reception.I also was meant to have a 17 square meter room with a garden view but got a 12 square meter room with a tiny window overlooking a roof!

A quaint nice little hotel that makes you forget you are in the middle of lisbon. Very traditional.
The system of having to leave the keys in rhe reception can be a bit incovenient if you are constant in and out - but nothing out of order

Beautiful setting with a very pleasant terrace
Considering the lack of food options beyond breakfast, little flexibility from the property to consume own food in common areas.

The reception is on the second floor up external steps, rooms are above reception. There is no lift.

Very interesting hotel, interior looks like some old castle. Garden is very nice and colorful. Location is great, very close to the center, you can walk to it.
Beds are very comfortable.
Since it's an old hotel, foolrs were squeaking and you could here people walking and talking from other rooms and hallway.
Breakfast can be better.

Location & actual physical hotel fab. Has such incredible potential
Younger staff group were quite miserable, totally lacking smiles & friendliness- older staff better.
Asked for double at booking and at hotel - double : two singles pushed together nothing joining beds of mattresses. Single sheet & duvet on each - reception advised that is a double.
No chilling facilities, nice bar, coffee & cake etc which was such a shave as stunning courtyard & lounge- huge missed opportunity
