There was no kettle in the room for a cup of tea but staff quickly supplied everything I needed when I asked for it.

This property does not reflect a 5-star standard.
Upon arrival, the main entrance door was not functioning, and there was no visible signage indicating an alternative access point. There was also no staff member present outside to assist, which made the initial experience confusing and unwelcoming.
Interactions with staff throughout the stay were brief and lacked warmth. The team appeared either overwhelmed or disengaged, which further impacted the overall impression.
Upon entering the room, we were very disappointed. The furnishings were visibly worn, and there was a strong varnish or wood polish smell. The window did not open fully, making it difficult to ventilate the space. We had also been assigned an interconnecting room, which was not our preference.
We contacted reception to request a room change. While I speak Portuguese, communication was still somewhat difficult. After some time, we were moved to another room just two doors down, which was in essentially the same condition as the first — the only difference being the absence of the interconnecting door.
At that point, it became clear that no meaningful improvement would be offered, and we accepted the situation as it was.
Later that evening, as we were leaving to meet friends, a police car arrived and also appeared confused about accessing the building due to the entrance issue — we ended up assisting them in locating reception.
That night, I attempted to order room service via the TV system. The order never arrived, nor was it charged, suggesting it was never processed.
I also tried to use the bathtub, however the plug was not functioning, so it would not fill, leaving only the option to shower.
The linens felt low quality, and after an overall disappointing and eventful 20-hour stay, we chose not to use any additional facilities or try breakfast.

Overall, I would describe the stay as decent.
The room was pleasant and the breakfast was good, and the location is very convenient. However, there were a few issues that affected the experience.
The main disappointment was the bathtub. Unfortunately, the plug did not hold water, so it was not possible to use it as a bath—it only filled to a very shallow level before draining away. In practice, this meant it functioned as a deep shower tray with a handheld shower, which also required climbing in, as there was no walk-in shower available.
I also found that the fitness centre and pool were closed when I visited on Friday morning. It appears these facilities may be seasonal, but this was not clearly communicated.
Additionally, there was some noise disturbance during the night from other guests between approximately 3:20am and 5:30am. While this is understandably outside the hotel’s control, it did impact the stay.
If the bathtub had been fully functional as advertised, my overall rating would have been higher. Clear and accurate descriptions of room features would help manage expectations and improve the guest experience.

Bed was very comfortable. Shower was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was good.
Pool was closed during our stay (march). No jacuzzi.

good help from the desk and the room service was good.
the fitness room did not meet my expectations, the machine where not working, no power when i went there.
Foam roll would be a nice add to the fitness room.
