I would like to raise a formal complaint regarding my stay at your property, as the conditions were far below what I expected from a 4-star hotel.
On the first day, the air conditioning was not working. I contacted the hotel staff several times because I was sweating and unable to stay comfortably in the room. I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and that a room change was not possible until the following day.
After changing rooms, the air conditioning continued to malfunction, repeatedly switching off and requiring me to call reception each time to have it turned back on. On my last night, it was not cooling the room at all, causing me significant discomfort throughout my stay.
In addition to the persistent air-conditioning issues, the hotel is old and the reception staff were rude and unhelpful when I raised my concerns.
Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and did not meet the standards I would expect from a 4-star property. Based on my experience, I would rate this hotel as 3-star at best.
I believe the hotel failed to provide the basic comfort and service expected, despite being given several opportunities to resolve the issue. I am requesting Booking.com’s assistance in addressing this complaint and obtaining appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort I experienced throughout my stay.

Clean and comfortable, newly kitted out room. Helpful staff, went out of their way to cater to my dietary needs and preferences.

Location was good for our purposes with the meeting arenas / convention centre
Staff were poor (requested extra towels by ringing reception as housekeeping didn’t answer multiple calls and we were told to ring housekeeping ourselves)
Water was not replaced in the room (empty bottle left) after the room was attended. Not enough towels especially considering the shower leakage all over the floor in the VERY dated bathroom

Private, spacious parking. Short distance to airport. Spacious bedroom.
Dinner and bar service in dining room. Lack of staff, slow service, no atmosphere and poor quality of food.
Breakfast, run out of scrambled eggs and bacon on both mornings. However, the variety of food was good.
Bedroom, please replace the mattress as it is too soft.
Bathroom, the bath is way to slippery to the point that it is a health risk.
Sofas in lounges need to be replaced as all of them have seen better days.

Location to Oriente train station and the metro was 5 minutes walking distance. Plenty of restaurants in the area or inside the hotel. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Nice superhero mural outside!
The back of the hotel backs to the train tracks. Not too noisy if window is shut, plus the trains stop running around 11 PM until around 6:00 AM. The air conditioning could be a little cooler.
