hotel was nice and location was good.
Staff was very pleasant and courtesy in support our stay
more availability in restaurant; more plug outlets in the room, irons in room not available. kept taking out room keys for power to charge devices while we were out of the room. more towels and longer pool hours later in evening (did get a chance to enjoy the pools)

Breakfast was good! Lots of places nearby to meet colleagues outside of the conference hall. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would come here again and refer this hotel to others.
The coffee machines seemed to break down and this is a big problem in the morning, especially with the tour participants needing to get an early start. Since there are no other coffee options in the hotel and the area it became annoying. Plus, Nescafe usually needs things added to it to improve the taste.

What can I say, it’s a Vila Gale property. Exceptional service, clean property with many amenities. The breakfast buffet was amazing with fresh fruit and a good variety of other breakfast foods.
We had a very squeaky bed. It was comfortable but when I moved it was noisy enough to wake my partner up. Also it would have been nice to have pool hours where no kids are allowed, especially the indoor pool attached to the spa. We tried to get some laps in but the pool became incredibly crowded with kids playing all over the place.

The hotel's location offered convenient access to the surrounding attractions, making it ideal for exploration. The room was clean and well-maintained. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet presented a diverse array of delicious options to start the day off right.
The room, unfortunately, was situated directly above the bridge, which presented some challenges to sleep. Ultimately, a quieter room would have significantly improved the overall experience.

Great location, Great breakfast with GF options and the roof top plunge pools were great fun in the sun!
We got charged an early check in fee even though we requested it in advance and were told it was okay (and didn't mention a fee).

The location to the congress center is a short walk. The breakfast is substantial. The front desk is very helpful specially securing the taxis. The front desk people are knowledgeable with Lisbon. Place is safe for tourists. The a la carte dishes are well made.
The rate of the room per night is a little bit on the expensive side.

Breakfast and buffet at night were good
I never called the reception with someone answering. At any time of the day.
Staff at reception not friendly.
I called because there were works and drills going on and was trying to focus on my presentation. Works did not stop. Very little amenities in the room. Had to ask for a kettle ( no plug in a logical place to plug it) for an iron, for a hair dryer. Slippers were only provided if paid, which I found ridiculous.

Easy access, attractive price, kind personal
Small and dirty swimming pool, everybody need to wear a cap, sell 4 euros. Very old fourniture in the room, no electric plugs near the bed. Bad and noisy restaurant. Cheap and horrible breakfast

From the day we had of arriving from the united to portugal with no power we booked a place called Lisbon serviced apartment with a confirmation number and they denied us access because we couldn't bring up the apartment # so they told us to find somewhere else to stay and kept our week stay of money but we found this gem of a place me and my wife are beyond joy to stay at Vila gale opera who's has made our honey moon stay perfect we were so stressed as lisbon service apartments left us stranded as travelers with nowhere to go to Vila gale opera made us feel at home and wanted during a crisis situation they even gave us a honeymoon gift we recommend this place a million time, the staff was so helpful and careful thank you guys

The staff is just wonderful - well-mannered, polite and speak English very well. There is a very picturesque bridge nearby, if you open the window - it makes noise, with the window closed - I can't say that it was very audible and it was annoying. A good hotel, I highly recommend it
The rooms are a bit outdated, damage is visible in places. some towels need to be changed as well.

Disappointing
Breakfast buffet was very good and all the waiting staff were very pleasant and attentive. Having an indoor pool and sauna was a nice extra too.
Half board was booked as website suggested buffet meals. This changed on 3 nights to A la Carte. First night and no vegan/vegetarian option on the menu. Eventually was offered a Vegetable Linguini which was adequate, and staff were informed we had 4 more nights and expected a more substantial vegetarian option. Second night - courgette with couscous. Spoke to who I presumed was in charge, via reception desk, and explained it was not good enough. Two options with no protein source in sight! Tried to explain what indeed constitutes a vegetarian diet, ie it is not just vegetables! Next time, a buffet but with no vegetarian option other than pasta with ratatouille.... not even a bowl of parmesan cheese. Next time, another buffet - Cuban Night - 10 or more dishes available but none vegetarian. Response to my complaint was - Would you like some white rice and a fried egg? This is a 4 star hotel in Portugal´s capital city which is not cheap to stay in. Eventually did produce some vegan meatballs.... so why weren´t they available beforehand?? Last night, back to A la Carte and offered the Linguini again, but after more discussion some Ricotta filled ravioli was served - turned out to be the best of the 5 meals but again only offered after I had to complain.

The smell of ammonia in the cleaning products was overwhelming when we first got to the room.
The room service menu and a lot of information about the hotel was only available by subscribing to the hotel club - however, we couldn't complete the subscription because we didn't have a phone number in the correct format.
