The breakfast was great and the staff was very nice!
The location was decent but you will have to walk a lot uphill. Might not be the best for clients with mobility issues. Our room layout was also a bit strange.

Great location right next to a wonderful viewpoint. Walkable to Alfama, though it needs a bit of stair climbing and graded walking. Supermarkets and restaurants can all be accessed on foot. The hosts were super helpful with any and every small request. Do checkout the garden as well as the third floor lounge area. Their pancakes are super good!
These hotels need to alert guests that many of the rooms would need hauling suitcases up narrow stairs as no elevators are available. Also, the hosts can think of adding moisturizer as part of their provided toiletries.

This property is so unique and you can tell the proprietors take pride in providing everything you’d need. The sweet kitties wondering around were an extra treat. It was suggested to sit next to the fireplace on a cooler night and we didn’t realize how much we’d enjoy it. We had no problem walking up the hill that others complained about so it’s just a matter of perspective. Also, the park just steps out the front door was a great spot to watch the sunset. So much offered in and around this hotel!

Great hotel mood! We had a garden room and it was lovely. They encourage no tech spaces and have books and cats for guests to enjoy. Highly recommend :)
It's unclear how bfast will be served at first and it's a bit greasy, but these are fixable things once you get the flow of things.

Impeccable cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, excellent and varied breakfast, daily room cleaning and towel change if needed, very quiet thanks to well insulated rooms, beautiful outdoor area.
A restaurant with good food too and correct price.
Finally, Very cocooning.
Fresh orange juice on morning, tasty fruits and cereals, pancakes or eggs with bacon and cheese, other cheese, salami, ham all for a perfect breakfast and start well your day. Even better than the one at home.
It’s on a mirador so obviously it’s steep to get up there. But you have different way to avoid the infinite stairs

Great location, beautiful back yard, arrangement feels more like a b&b than a hotel. They let me leave my luggage for a while which was terrifically helpful.
The room decor wasn’t my taste. There was a micro ‘fridge’-ish thing but no mini fridge. Coming back after 10 involved having the front door unlocked by the staff.

Extremely helpful and solicitous staff. Feels very "local". The location is nice, but very high on the hill and requires a lot of uphill walking. Good exercise! The room was comfortable and small. Air conditioning would have been super nice in the summer (the rooms are air conditioned but I traveled in the cooler weather). This is a big plus. The desk and dining room staff were the best thing.
Walls are thin, and you can hear your neighbors.

Be very careful when booking the "Family" room. It does not accommodate 4 adults. The pull out beds are for 16 yrs or younger. My party traveled from the US and booked 2 rooms. One was a double (2 people) and one was the "family" room for 4 people, based on the Booking.com listing. When we checked in we were told that only 2 adults could stay in each room. We went back and forth between the owner and Booking.com with no resolution. We even showed the owner the listing saying the room accommodates 4 people and our confirmation. The property was booked and they were unwilling to help us out even for one night (until we could make other arrangements). Two adults in our party were forced to stay in a nearby hostel.
Those of us that stayed at Tings were very disappointed to see that there were pull out couches in both rooms that would have accommodated our entire party, but the owner was unwilling to make a consession.

The location was stunning—the hotel was situated right in front of the best lookout spot. I also loved being able to see the nearby historical buildings. We also had best breakfast.
We stayed in Room #3 (Garden suite #3). The room was much tighter than I had expected, and it also lacked both a safe and a fridge. The hotel guide indicated that guests should leave their keys at the kitchen/bar area when leaving, so staff can see which rooms are empty. However, without a safe in the room, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my key in a public space. Instead, I kept it with me whenever we went out.
The hotel did offer to store our belongings in their safe, but I found it inconvenient to have to request access every time we needed money in the morning. For this reason, we simply kept our door locked.
Unfortunately, there was also a constant urine smell coming from the entrance area of the room. My guess is that it might be from the two cats using the garden bed as their washroom.

The hotel was charming, with attractive rooms, air conditioning, and comfortable beds. The owner and staff were kind and helpful. Everything was clean. There was interesting art and the restaurant had good food. We loved it and would absolutely stay again. It is steps away from a gorgeous view over the city. Everyone was helpful and accommodating.
I was really delighted by the place and can't find any fault.
