The hotel was very close to the main street and have everything nearby. The staff is amazing, very kind and helpful. The room was very cozy and clean with everything you need in order to get a very nice experience.

Clean and quiet.
Curtains didn’t close properly and curtain stick fell off on the first day. Very upset with paper cups in the bathroom and could do with larger cups in the room for tea.

Bit noisy, but we were in a room on the first floor, so quite near to the road below. It wouldn't put me off staying there though.

Breakfast was good, variety of items buffet style. Warm items usually included scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and beans. Automatic pancake machine. Sweet and savory pastries. Fresh fruits. 2 excellent coffee machines and a selection of tea.
Room was tight and not as spacious compared to other rooms we stayed in during our trip.

The location and the service of the staf was very good. The was a good breakfast. Thay store our luggage before the check-in Early check-in and a Late check-out. We like also the welcome red wine and the snacks.
The price was very high. No view from the Windows in the room. No Window of venta in the bathroom. We received twin beds

Location
The air conditioning didn't work upon arrival as well as the safety box. We immediately reported to the reception, and Catherine, the receptionist, was unsympathetic and sent a service man unable to fix the problems. The next day, after a hot night, we reported again the A/C and the safety box, and she said..."You just reported yesterday!" My response was, "Of course!, we just checked in yesterday!". After several calls and the man walking in and out of our room (also with the safety box to be changed), We get offered another room and it was until 1pm the following day after our arrival that we were unpacked AGAIN in the other room. And the A/C in the second room at night was turned off from the reception! The room was very hot at 10 pm, we realized that we don't control the A/C from our room! We called the reception, and they turned on. We request to speak to the manager since day one, after three days, Pedro the manager hasn't contacted us! What a nightmare experience!

The room was so nicely decorated- just loved it! Very handy location. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.
I really liked this hotel very much - but the last hotel I stayed in (same street) gave my husband and I a little glass of port and a small pastel de nata when we checked in. I was hoping all hotels in Portugal did this as it is just so memorable!!!
