In an inner courtyard of an 18th-century mansion, this eco-hotel is located within the walls of St. Jorge's Castle. It features rooms with free Wi-Fi in the historic Alfama neighborhood. Lovely boutique hotel on the top of a hill next to the castle. Great staff, all bespoke rooms, fantastic breakfast and a great touch with the port in the room and sparkling wine freely available.
Being on top of the hill, this might be an issue for anyone with difficulties in walking but not for us.

A peaceful location right at the castle. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing, very welcoming. The staff is wonderful.
The unique location can make it challenging to taxi back, but you should be walking anyway… it’s Portugal. Peacocks are beautiful but noisy, the front desk has earplugs.

Great location next to the castle. Comfortable room, nice breakfast, friendly staff. The peacocks are a feature. Quite a few nice restaurants in the vicinity e.g. Audrey’s.

The location is great - within the castle walls. I only stayed one night as there was nothing else available, but I would have liked to stay longer. The staff and facilities were great. The location was perfect to leave from for the tour to Sintra. The peacock calls are a royal touch.

we had a great room, great staff, great breakfast, free glass of Cava in the early evening, cakes etc - it was so good - if we do go back to Lisbon - i will head back to this beautiful hotel.
