The location in Lisbon is peaceful, beautiful and convenient. Many restaurants in the area. Rooms looking out on the street have a lovely view. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast has a lot of variety including fresh fruit, cheeses, pastries and meats.
The building was renovated not long ago at what must have been great expense. Having stayed there a number of times over the years before this renovation I can say with confidence that the rooms seem overpriced for what is offered. Some of the changes are a indeed an upgrade, including the breakfast area and lobby, as well as a little pool on the rooftop. In the original building the rooms had a lovely soaking tub and spacious closet which have now been removed in exchange for a few hangers on a tiny rack and awkward glass cubicles that lack privacy, housing a toilet and shower. The lighting is so complicated to operate that it seems like a satire, and the rooms in the back of the building look out on an ugly cluster of industrial looking mechanical devices. Overall I feel like the place I returned to again and again over the years is gone, what has replaced it is not a good value, and I will probably look elsewhere on my next trip.

What a cool place to stay. Great roof top area ! Breakfast was probably the best selection of breakfast I have seen, amazing quality and a choice which was brilliant. Importantly, the staff were hugely welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is located about 50mins walk from the town centre. But once we discovered the Metro from Sao Sebastian then it was around 20/25 mins. However the quality and feel of this hotel outweighs the location. I would 100% stay here again and actually being away from the city centre was nice.

The location was excellent in a lovely neighbourhood with plenty to see and places to eat and drink. Close to the metro so very easy to get about and down to the sights, bars and restaurants.
Breakfast was fantastic with so much choice!
Room was great and the bed so comfy. Very clean and quiet.
Staff were excellent. Very friendly, helpful polite.
Lovely rooftop bar with a little pool. DJ on a Thursday night!
We had to leave for our flight before breakfast and we were given breakfast in boxes to go - a lovely touch

Staff, design, and breakfast were excellent! It had a modern vibe, and the neighborhood was great with lots of little cafes, bars, and restaurants. They had parking which was a plus as I needed to charge my car.
The only thing I would like was a small table and chair. I ordered food for the room and had to sit on my bed to eat it. There are lots of lovely places to sit downstairs, so I understand the concept; however I had a dog, and didn't want to leave her in the room in a new place.

Bbreakfast was very good and staff very helpful and polite.
Definitely did not like the bathroom arrangement with toliet and shower within the room and not in a separate room. Should have been clear about this in the description. Would not have booked had we known.
