I loved the locations and the staff were really friendly, especially Joana.
The showers were really hot for five seconds then cold for 5 seconds as I showered.

The location of a hostel is perfect. Atmosphere is very warm and friendly. Breakfast is good. This place is excellent for people who want to be in the center of city.
The coffee at the breakfast could be better and it was a little bit cold in a bathroom.

The hostel is very well located. It’s near by a very good and popular street in Lisbon. All of the receptionists were really kind, they’re really nice and open to help you. The lady that makes the breakfasts couldn’t be more sweet and special. They change your towels and make the bed.
Even though the good attention, the hotel lacks of safety conditions. It is important to know that the distribution of the hostel is weird because the reception it’s separated from the rooms. In one floor you have the reception and then you have to go up two floors to get to the door which is going to take you to a hall where finally the rooms are located. It’s not until you arrived to this hall that you feel that you’re in a hostel. It’s like being in an apartment rather than in a hostel room.
Since the main entrance is an open space even shared with a souvenir store, there is not control over who enters to the building or not or not even to who enters the reception, since is a normal building, strangers can easily go to rooms section. I remember buying a water bottle in the reception and the guy was not even asking me for the name of the room or my name at all, making it accessible for everyone, which in this case is dangerous.
Then, the conditions of the room. I booked a private room with a private bathroom. The space was not clean at all, they were things broken, not working at all. The bathroom had moss in the edges of the walls and also in the shower cabinet.
Finally, the privacy. I was able to listen to all of the other people beside me and also the noise of the street. I had a common bathroom and I was able to hear all the noise from the bathroom as well. It was so close that sometimes I even thought that they were in my room.

My stay in Rossio Hostel was very comfortable. Since I visited in non peak season, I was lucky to almost have my shared room all to myself for 5 days. Bed was comfortable. Room was cosy with the best view of the Rossio square. Staff were exceptional especially Eszter, Simmi and Rasul who were all just like friends and always availablefor a chat.. Good breakfast too. Only the down part was non availability of lifts. Otherwise, it's the best money can buy kinda deal. I had a great time touring Lisbon from there as the hostel was very central to the Lisbon city centre. Christmas markets were right down the hostel and live music scene was epic in Rossio Square. Will recommend it highly.
