Everything was perfect. Starting with the location, since the main tourist attractions are just minutes away on foot, including the Cathedral, Fado shows, Rua Augusta, Praça do Comércio, the harbor, etc. The most remarkable aspect was the excellent service from the reception staff (and Concierge) and the breakfast restaurant team. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bed was very good. Everything was always very clean.

We loved the quietness even though there were clearly lots of people staying there. We loved the old building and its grand staircase and artefacts/statues. The breakfast was to die for! Staff were very professional and friendly and this hotel definitely was worth the money and a real treat for us.

The most ideal spot to stay to be close to all the main sites of Lisbon. The hotel itself is well maintained, while feeling cosy but not too small. Our room was surprisingly large for a small luxury hotel and the bed was so comfortable! The staff were so helpful and we really appreciated the small touches such as a cake for Valentine’s Day and biscuits to celebrate carnival!

Room was located on second floor and quite easy to reach either by stairs or lift. It faced onto a side street that was relatively quiet for a city centre. Reasonably good choice of food for breakfast.
The room was quite noisy as passing traffic passed over a larger metal street box cover and potholes. (Obviously not the hotels fault but annoying in that it woke you up several times throughout the night) Quite a lot of water noise from adjacent rooms with people using showers and toilets, etc. Breakfast choice was variable day to day with some food (particularly fruit available one day and not the next) and some pastries did not appear to be freshly cooked on Sunday). Also the background music playing in the Restaurant at breakfast time was really depressing and rather morbid.
