Loved this place, it was beautiful and right in the center of town. You can walk anywhere and all the best streets right in front. The room was beautiful and we had a nice terrace. Bathroom was great too. Staff was great. Overall a lovely place to stay

The property is located in an excellent location. It is SO much more beautiful than the photos. I also liked that you were given discount coupons for their neighboring property Hotel Mondial, which has a beautiful rooftop bar. Each night the staff put lovely treats in my room that were showcasing local items. It was excellent.

Large bedroom, large closet space, big beautiful bathroom, helpful staff, renovated building, nice pastry items for breakfast. Love the mirrored TV. Received turn down service with a pint of cherry liquor with little treats. Nice big towels- best hotel towels entire trip.
location- if you take a left from the building and head up the hills, the neighborhoods become questionable. The warm breakfast items were ok. We ordered gelato for room service and received one small scoop for 10 euros. Wished for a towel warmer.

Location, cleanliness, Friendliness of staff.
Our room had a sloping ceiling which was very difficult for my tall husband. No mention of this in the booking and certainly no photographs of this style of room on the website. Significant tram noise until 11pm even though the tram was around the corner. Website showed a lovely downstairs bar area with a tapas plate, but according to the reception staff, this particular bar is actually never available unless you book the entire bar out with the services of a Somelier. The only bar area in the hotel is part of breakfast room. Rear deck now has just a couple of sofas rather than being able to eat outside as per the website photos, as there is construction happening just behind/beside the hotel, so very difficult to use this as it was extremely noisy 8-5 Mon-Fr. There was access to rooftop bar in a neighbouring hotel for hotel clients.

The room was wonderful — very spacious, and the thoughtful extra amenities were delicious: Portuguese pastries, wine, and Port wine. Plus the staff were welcoming and professional.
