Fantastic location only a couple of minutes walk from the main square Praça de Comércio. Surrounded by shops and pavement cafés. Our room was clean and quiet and had a small balcony which gave us the a view of the river.

We loved the location so close to the harbour and part of the old area.
Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice.
The coffee was not good at all.
In the room you get creamer for white coffee that's not very nice.

Everything was great, and although the room was quite small for two individuals, that is quite normal. The details were great with lots of storage, desk, water, bathroom, all lovely. All the staff were great and the breakfast buffet was extensive. The location was just blocks from the main square and waterfront so easy walking everywhere.
The only criticism I have is the air conditioning was not functional. Apparently many hotels shut down the AC for winter months, which technically it was (mid March) but still our room was super hot. The very helpful lady at the front desk, Ines, brought up her own personal fan which solved the problem and allowed us to cool off enough to sleep. (The central location (which we loved) made it quite noisy when we tried to keep the window open to cool off.)

The hotel is in the absolute centre of the action. The rooms are extremely quiet, updated and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was a good value and the staff was very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Very welcoming staff ( especially the guy with the curly hair and the mustache). The view from the room of the 5th floor was great and the location was perfect!
The temperature of the shower was changing from hot to cold every 5 seconds and the temperature of the room was very cold ( I couldn’t set my preferred temperature on the AC panel).

The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful, competent. They are definitely dedicated to the guest having the best possible experience. The included breakfast was wonderful, and in the evening, the area converts into a very good sushi restaurant. An excellent choice for a break from the other offerings that surround the area. Well soundproofed at a location in the middle of the action. Hint: book your airport transportation at the hotel, it's reasonable and well worth it.
For Americans, the rooms in most European hotels are small. Live with it, it's part of the experience.

Breakfast was poor to be honest. Dishes were not replenished often enough. Breakfast room was inadequate to hold all the guests. Coffee machine was not easy to use
unfortunately there was refurbishment work going on during our stay. As a result our room was upgraded which was lovely however the noise went on until at least 7.30pm and the route to the stairs in case of evacuation was blocked
