The staff were amazing. Thiago at the front desk was helpful recommending sights to see, Trolley 28 "tour", local restaurants (not tourist food), and he even broke our large Euro bills for tipping money. The morning breakfast is outstanding. Very good quality meats and cheeses and delicious cooked egg dishes. The views from the pool and terrace area amazing. You can even see your cruise ship arrive. The location is in a great area (Alfama) and is safe with many hidden local restaurants to visit. And if you get the chance to attend the Memmo hotel Wine/Dinner and Fado music show, do it!!! The wines were awesome as were the menu items. And the live Fado show was fantastic with included history of Fado. I can't recommend this hotel enough!!!
There was no desk to work on a computer but most historical European hotel rooms are smaller and do not have space for a small desk. Not a real problem, but guests should be aware of it in case they plan to work while staying at the hotel. If so, my suggestion is work from the dining area or even the terrace area with the fabulous view.

The breakfast was great. The staff at the front were very helpful, especially the men.
The breakfast wait staff seemed a bit clueless or were not well trained. The woman at the front desk did not seem friendly. The eating options in the neighbourhood seemed limited, but your hotel does not control that.

Breakfast and location were very good. The staff were great.
It was very cool in the building. We could not eat upstairs though we would have liked to. Beautiful view.

The breakfast was excellent. There is a rooftop deck that has gorgeous views of the city where you can both eat and drink. It is very close to the trolley lines and an easy walk from many sights. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The bed and shower were excellent.
The only marginally negative thing I can think of is that there is about a 50 yard long small road that goes to the front door from a main road that is between buildings and seems a bit dark when you are walking back at nite though we had no problem at all and did not encounter anyone sketchy there.

I love Memmo Alfama. I'm a guest whenever I am in Lisbon. It's got style and comfort. They know about hotel management. Besides, this time I had dinner in their restaurant every evening and loved it too. Their breakfast is not good; it's fabulous, in my opinion. Their staff is courteous and attentive. Lisbon is especially charming because of Memmo Alfama.
My stay was short this time. :D

There was nothing we did not like. From arrival to check-out, we had a wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Worth booking for the terrace alone- million dollar views. We only stayed for one night before boarding a cruise. The hotel is very close to the port, and we enjoyed seeing the ships arrive and depart. Staff was also excellent.

The views from the terrace were amazing! The shower and the proximity to the cruise terminal.
The size of the room. It was very cramped despite being rather pricey.

Amazing location. Right in the center of the city but also not right on the main road. Incredible view from the terrace.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Attentive and friendly staff who helped us with everything from booking taxis to buying train tickets and more. The views from the wine bar and rooftop were amazing, and it was nice to be able to hang out at night and to use the outdoor blankets when the temperatures had dropped. The shower in our bathroom was nice and the water got hot. The “mailbag” and the robe and slippers in our room, the music playing in the hallway, and the vases of fresh flowers around the property were a nice touch, too. Loved the little reading nooks (even left a book I’d finished to add to the collection) and the poem on the wall about the experience of traveling were inspiring. Lots to see in the area, too.

Terraced bar and restaurant area. Location. Front desk staff.
Room service was later in afternoon. We would leave in morning for activities come back and sometimes housekeeping hadn't got there yet.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. I arrived early, and dropped off my bag while I walked around Lisbon. When I checked in, my bag was waiting for me in my room. Throughout my stay, all the staff made the point to say hello and ask how I was doing. The room was spacious and had a great view of the city. it was definitely a room intended for couples since the set up allowed a view into the shower from the bed. :-) The hotel also offered plenty of activities like a walking tour and a fado show. They also had an on-site restaurant. It was in a good location as well; not too noisy at night and not as hilly as it could've been in that neighborhood.
I liked everything. It was definitely the most expensive hotel I stayed in during my trip in Portugal, but I felt the service and the amenities made up for it. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to friends.

Location, views, a beautiful outdoor patio, bar and restaurant.
The room was small, but I have found that with most of the hotels I have stayed in Portugal and Spain.

Awesome location right in the heart of historic Lisbon. Walkable to nice restaurants, easy transportation options, and very kind and knowledgeable staff, make sure to ask them for some recs. Also breathtaking views in the roof top area, having a breakfast there is quite an experience.
Very interesting design decision with a transparent door to the restroom (might not be the case in every room). I mean, not that it bothered me and my wife too much (after like 15 years together haha), but still.
