PROS:
-property is well-situated for getting around Lisbon, and there are many restaurants nearby. Portela Cafe and Pizzaria il Principe were two standouts
-apartment was clean and offered all the amenities you need. Hosts even provided some butter cookies and a nice bottle of wine
-accessing the place was easy with the provided door codes. There's even a lift (albeit a small one)!

Great location with easy access to many restaurants within walking distance. Very comfortable apartment for 3. Easy access to enter using door codes. Felt safe inside the apartment and the surrounding area. We were able to walk to both the Lisboa Rossio and Cais do Sodre train stations.
Quick response when I had a question.
Recommend trying Basilio for breakfast.
It took some time to understand how to get hot water at the bathroom sink.

Excellent location, one level up from ground floor, with an elevator which was very convenient.
We were able to store luggage between arriving around 2PM and check in a 4PM which was very handy.
On arrival there was a packet of cookies and a bottle of red wine, which was a very nice touch, also the coffee and creamers that were supplied.
Very clean, nice spacious kitchen with stove, fridge, toaster, coffee machine, washer, dryer. Provided a crib for the baby.
Very close to excellent restaurants, stores, pharmacy etc.. 5 minute walk to Metro station
Close to main tourist areas in Lisbon and close to commerce plaza and bus stops

The place is very clean. The host left cookies and wine. It is central for everything. The host is available i uf you have any questions. The cleaning crew came and cleaned it after three days and replenished what we needed. They are very lovely.

Our stay at Madalena Hermitage was excellent in every way.
First of all, the location is absolutely the best in Alfama. This was our first visit to Lisbon, and we especially loved staying in this charming neighborhood. Right outside the apartment there are plenty of great restaurants, and it’s within walking distance to all the main points of interest in the city.
The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable for our family of four, and fully equipped for a pleasant stay: washing machine, coffee machine, and even a dishwasher (though we didn’t use it). While the building looks old from the outside, the interior is fully renovated and modern, including elevator and electronic locks.
We stayed for a week, and every time we asked for fresh towels, they were promptly provided — something not very common in apartments of this type, and much appreciated.
Overall, a perfect choice for enjoying Lisbon and especially Alfama. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property, great location. Great space for our family of four, with two teens. Very handy to have a washing machine and the apartment was well stocked with fresh towels and toilet paper. They reached out twice during our stay of four nights to see if we needed anything. Also several places to grab water and some groceries nearby.
I thought the beds were a little soft. I would have also liked another mirror in addition to the one in the bathroom to facilitate getting ready. And more hooks for wet towels.

The apartment was well-appointed and comfortable. The kitchen was fairly well stocked for cooking meals in terms of cookware and appliances. The beds were comfortable and had the right amount of blanketing. The elevator, while small, was wonderful to have.
Luggage storage was in a room behind the storefront that is next to the building and didn't feel particularly secure. Having arrived from a redeye flight, we had to re-arrange our luggage to avoid carrying the things we needed on the flight as well as change for the outdoors and this was tricky in the tight space. Even though we waited until the check-in time, the room was not ready in time. We went in anyway to have somewhere out of the sun to sit. Plus, since we had retrieved our luggage from the "storage room," we didn't want to haul it back downstairs. The only real down to the actual apartment was that it was on the street side of the building and there was a lot of road noise, even with the windows closed. Apparently, in Lisbon, the trash is collected while everyone sleeps.

The location was excellent centrally located to see all the sites. Parking near by made it easy to park the car. Easy access to public transport when needed. Accommodations are in good shape, everything worked fine.

Great location, excellent air conditioning, beautiful decor, very clean, washing machine w/ dryer feature! And well appointed kitchen, great for family breakfast. They had a welcome bottle of wine and cookies, espresso provided. It was a wonderful visit.

All the equipment you need was of high quality and working flawlessly.
And the location - amazing !! Close to the river and main Commerce Plaza, Augusta street and very short walk to Alfama.

It was wonderfully located with respect to the airport and shops/restaurants of Lisbon, and it was very clean and comfortable.
I think I specifically looked for a place in Chiado and this was at least 0.7 miles from there, but it was also nice that it was a few blocks from the really busy areas.

Cute apartment, convenient with lots of character. We ate all our breakfasts in the well-stocked kitchen. Easy to walk just about everywhere. Building felt very secure. It was great to have a washer *and* dryer after having to hang dry our clothes in previous parts of our trip.
Bathroom was a little tight. It was hard for more than one person to get ready at the same time. There was a safe in the room but it didn’t open.

The property has absolutely amazing location - literally in the middle of all touristic attractions in Lisbon
Very comfortable beds. Good working a/c - which was really useful as we’ve been during high heat days. Certainly can recommend this place for families to explore Lisbon
