Wonderful
Placed in a very nice location quite close to the centre. Our room was very clean, with the bed being very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating during our stay! The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from.
Our room got quite hot and stuffy at night. There is air conditioning but it didn't completely fix the problem.

Exceptional
I liked absolutely everything! Starting with a very pleasant signature smell everywhere in the hotel. The team is very polite, the breakfast is amazing, also tried dinner from hotel restaurant- very tasty. Warmed pool, not big, but so pleasant to swim after a long day on feet sightseeing. Spacious room, new technic, sensor lights, quite (didn’t hear neighbors at all). The location is not super central, but Uber is so cheap, you would probably use only it 4-5 € about 3-4 km, 9-10 € in busy hours or for far locations). So I would absolutely recommend it.
Jacuzzi was out of service, but for me it’s not a big deal. Room cards were not perfectly working, I heard a couple of people reporting the problem. Was also my case, before by trying to open the door I realized that you need to hold the card directly to the WIFI sign. Then it worked well.

We liked the fact that our room was nice and dark at night. That's mainly due to the quirky design of the room whereby the shower room is between the beds and the balcony. The shower is great and the balcony, although a little small, is quite comfortable.
We had to ask for water and towels, not all of which were replaced after the first night. The quality of the breakfast items is only moderately good.
There are absolutely no common areas where guests can sit apart from one sofa in the lobby.

Two little tricks that would make our stay even better:
- the tables in the breakfast area were really unstable, it was very hard not to spill drinks
- the water in the pool was too warm, we were looking forward to cool down after walking around Lisbon during very hot day and then we realized the water is heated even during tropical days :(

Not very lux! Room was clean but very small- with strange pod type separate shower/ toilet. Hotel is very tired, dirty carpets in corridors, missing tiles in pool ( pool was not very clean) and broken hot tub. Booked mainly because of roof top pool and hot tub but pool is tiny and not very clean and hot tub was broken. Also thought having a roof top bar would be nice in the evening - but this closes at 6pm! Breakfast was basic but ok.. Waiter in bar was very unfriendly, rude to the couple beside us who just asked if they could have towels- he told them this was a different department ( strange in a 4 star hotel) . Location is not great. Spent a lot of time travelling back into the main areas. Lady on reception couldn’t give us any recommendations for restaurants or accurate directions on two occasions. Would not return. Hotel is fine for a work trip but not for a couple looking to stay somewhere with a bit of character in a central location.
Mould in shower, tired dirty carpet on corridors. Having checked on booking.com- could have gotten a nicer more central hotel for less money.

This place is ok, but to make your stay ok you need to work on it. Need adjust cleaning times? After a few attempts you will. Need to get kettle in the room? After some arguing you will. Pool site is nice, but not cleaned or supplied with towels after once a day. So you always end up asking and pushing for things to happen.
Main feeling I left with is too often I felt is if I payed money to work and get the staff comfortable, unlike staff doing everything to make me happy.
It checks the marks for 4 stars (excluding default cleanliness level). But I’ve been to many 4 stars hotels which far exceeded this one in value for money.

Wonderful
Big comfortable bed, very nice breakfast and pool, good restaurants on roof and bar, friendly staff. We picked this hotel because we'd been traveling for over a month and wanted to recharge before the long flight to SFO. It worked out wonderfully. It's really more of a business hotel so no kids and the pool was a wonderful relief.
Bathroom configuration is a little different. Shower and toilet are separated, which is nice but sink area is not enclosed in bathroom which could be uncomfortable for a couple who isn't really comfortable with each other.
