It's a nice place to stay, so comfy.
The kitchen was always crowded at night, and many people didn't respect times of sleeping or your stuff in the kitchen.

There is a kind of Indian scent in the whole house, which makes my breath uncomfortable.
And the carpet on the hallway looks dirty. I would suggest getting rid of it. The wooden floor is enough.
The location is near pubs, noisy sometimes.

Good location downtown close to waterfront, subway station, trains and ferry. Friendly staff, activities for guests like pub crawl, guided tours and free sangria each evening. The hostel is clean and spacious, they have quite a large common area, computers you can use, all bunk beds come with their own power socket, usb charger and two different lights. Security is good with key cards to unlock doors and lockers and they have free luggage storage.. Also the 24 hour reception is great. It is also a good place to meet new people.
I thought I picked a quiet hostel but it is right in a busy area with bars and it was very hard to get a good night's sleep as other guests would be quite loud in the hours leading up to the pub crawl and then again when they came back. The worst of it was probably a couple having sex in the top bunk bed across from me two nights in a row, waking everyone up, especially the poor Canadian girl in the bunk bed underneath them. This is not a complaint towards the hostel staff; they have definitely tried to create an accommodating place for backpackers and it just depends what you are looking for whether you find this a negative or a positive thing. For me, after two weeks of hiking and island hopping in the Azores I was looking for two relaxing days in Lisbon so that was an unpleasant suprise.
Two other small things; the pillow was the size of a match box and the showers don't have hooks to hang up your clothes so some improvement could be made their.

Communal facilities very clean and good attention to details eg. Detachable shower head
Free sangria, soup and pub crawl - good way to mingle and meet new people
Excellent location, 5 mins walk to Cais do Sodre and 15 mins to Rossio for travelling to other cities or connecting metro
Beds have everything you need - light, charging ports
Most receptionist staff I met are very friendly
Lack of bed curtains which for some may be a problem.
Some toilet stalls very small
Stairs to access rooms - can be exhausting after a long day of waking!

The location is fantastic, very convenient to grab food, take the metro, or just use the hostel as a home base as you walk around Lisbon.
Bathrooms could use a renovation

The location was good. There were USB and functional plugs at the beds. The lockers were card operated and spacious. There were computers for use. The showers had hot water.
The beds did not have a curtain and the lockers do not have a soft open mechanism so in the middle of the night, I would wake up by other people opening their lockers (even with earplugs). The beds do not have curtains.

It was a beautiful classic old building, beds, lockers and dormitories were all fantastic and virtually new. Lockers big enough to store all your things under the bed. But the biggest thing was all the activities you meet people straight away with the walking Tour all the free sangria each night or the pub crawl each night incredible place for Solo Travel to make lifelong friends
It was a little inconvenient having to pay cash and theyre not accepting card. But it was no big deal.

Was really surprised by the beauty of the building. It is also really near to the pink street and others main places.
The showers/toilet maybe need to be updated.
