Very Good
The location was excellent getting to the main attractions was easy, and being close to the train for Sintra was very convenient. The lively square outside added a fun atmosphere to our stay. The hotel staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating, and I found the bed very comfortable with the room temperature just right. I especially enjoyed the Fado dinner show at the Maria do Carmo Restaurant; it was a wonderful experience.
While I appreciated many aspects of our stay, I felt that the room did not quite meet the standards I’ve experienced at other 4-star hotels in Portugal. The furnishings appeared a bit worn, and there were noticeable stains on the carpet, which detracted from the overall impression.

This hotel is very well located in the nicest part of the city center, with numerous restaurants and nice small squares in the neighborhood. Close to Metro stations too. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.

The staff were lovely. Really helpful. Was in a very convenient location. We enjoyed a late night drink in the local square. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed.
Lighting in the room was too dark. A second chair in our bedroom would have been nice

Great location in the beautiful Carmo square in the central Chiado area, lively but a safe area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. However to appreciate Lisbon do book a room with view. Ours looked out to Tagus river & castle, was fabulous
Rather slow at breakfast and not enough staff on, especially as clearly hotel full. Only x2 to clear plates, restock food & do the coffees of which were many requests as couldn’t do yourself ie no facility to do yourself. Also no kettle in room but happy to provide along with cups & tea bags & extra towels & iron/board!

The hotel was beautiful. The pillows and the bed were like heaven. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The location was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent. The wood was polished to a shine. If I had a bed and pillows like the Carmo Hotel, I wouldn't have insomnia! You're simply enveloped in pure comfort.
I liked everything!! Especially the plush, comfy pillows and the bed. In fact, there were 6 pillows on the bed.
