The unit is overpriced for what it is, far away from everything up a very high hill. Unfriendly host - not much to like
Not a very friendly host, I was overcharged. I paid way above the listed prices that are posted on the unit door. I have not yet received the deposit back. The deposit was demanded a couple of days before my arrival, but after the cancelation period expired, the unit had no AC. The unit did not have enough sheets for 3 people, even though I booked for 3 people, location is uphill with lots of steps and no taxi option as the roads are private, no coffee, no tea, one day body wash only, no matches for gas stove, little toilet paper, one trash bag, small bugs/ flies in the bathroom. The unit is far away from everything, close to a castle. Overall, a very overpriced unit for its location and what it is.

The property is located right in the historical center, 100m from the Jorge palace: fresh air, no cars, silence, restaurants with good prices, 15 min.away from a good supermarket - Pingo Doce, where is an elevator, one can use it to go and return from the hipermarket, not to clime many stairs.
In my opinion this is the best place to live when visiting Lisbon.
I didn.t like that one asked before check in a 200 Eur. , deposit for unforseen damages. This is normal. What seemed unright to me was that no one came to check the room before I left to see that there were any damages. I think that a match between the guest and the cleaning team would be a good idea.

First and foremost, credit where credit is due: the location is indeed lovely and peaceful (aside from the peacocks in the castle’s garden, whose early-morning screeches rival that of roosters). The property is spacious, and for the most part, everything functions as expected. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a member of the staff who kindly showed us around, pointing out the basic areas (such as the bedroom, bathroom, etc.).
However, things took a rather frustrating turn when, just two days before our arrival, we were informed of an additional €200 charge on top of the total rental cost. Then, after our departure, we were notified that we were responsible for damaging the toaster cable, a claim which is entirely untrue. It is important to note that we didn’t come to Lisbon to cook, so any use of kitchen appliances was nonexistent. Moreover, no evidence was provided to demonstrate that the toaster cable was in proper working order when we arrived, despite the fact that we were given a brief tour during check-in (it's not standard practice for guests to be shown every cable, outlet, and obscure corner of the property). To top it off, I was penalised €40 for what amounts to a €10 toaster. (For the record, I did take the liberty of googling the toaster’s make and model from the host’s message.)
For anyone considering renting this property in the future, be forewarned: there may be unexpected and questionable charges lurking in the background.

The property is near the Castelo de S. Jorge. There many nice little restaurants in the area.
The property is at the top of one of Lisbon's many hills. The walk downhill isn't bad, but the #737 bus comes in handy going uphill.

The location is very practical and close to everything. The apartment is well organised and using the terrace for morning coffee makes a difference.
The only rundown that it does not have amenities so make sure to bring your own shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrush.

Location! Location! Location! It was so easy to walk everywhere that we wished we had of booked a longer stay. The room had the basics and was comfortable.
The basics were all there and it was comfortable enough to call home for a week.

The location was excellent and it was really clean and even too big for two people. It even has a washing machine and a coffee machine so everything You need for a longer stay. The terrace was big and nice.
You could hear upstairs neighbours walking really loudly in the middle of the night it even woke us up a few times.

The place was very comfortable and well located. Perfect for a family. the apartment was well equipped
The only negative point is that the apartment is inside the São Jorge Castle, only authorized taxis and buses can go up to where the apartment is. The place becomes difficult to access for people with limited mobility. But if this is not your case, it is a great place to stay.

Fantastic location. Clean apartment, sufficient space for 4 people but we were only 2. Nice patio where we ate our breakfast and dinner every day. Kitchen equipped with almost everything you need.

1. broken shower. the joint is leaking and spraying water. I reported it to the apartment on the first night of my stay, but no one repaired it or suggest solution until I checked out on the fourth day.
2. no laundry detergent. Although the apartment is equipped with a washing machine, it does not provide laundry detergent, which makes laundry not possible (self-prepared laundry detergent cannot be brought on a flight).
3. Awful check in process make me upset and frustrated. The online check-in system requires me and my partner to provide a selfie of myself holding my passport, which I think is a serious violation of privacy thus I refuse to provide. After communication, the customer service guy told me that I could skip this step, but in fact, once I exit the online process, I cannot access again. for offline check-in, there's potential additional charge, see below.
4. Potential unexpected additional charge. Please note that after the customer service agrees with you on the check-in time, you must be present at the apartment in person at the check-in time. You cannot be late at all. Otherwise, the customer service will charge an additional 15 euro "travel fee" in cash because the welcomer has to run twice. This information is not written on the booking information page, and the customer service guy can't explain how the 15 euro rate is set. I think this rule is very rigid and seriously affects my itinerary and travel mood, making me very angry and frustrated on the first day I arrived in Lisbon.
There may be misunderstandings in communication, but I really don't like the stiff tone and wording of the customer service Miguel. Thank you welcomer Maria for exempting us from this extra charge and help explain the whole thing..
5. The apartment is room 18 in the alley, but the number sign "18" has fallen off, so it is difficult to find the place even with Google Map Live View when I first went there.
