Location. Traditional apartment which was generally comfortable with a nice outside space.
The bed was very uncomfortable and prevented a good night sleep. Kitchen utensils were inadequate and sporadic wifi which operated in one room only. the television didnt work and despite this being known by the host no effort was made to remedy. An additional towel given we were staying for 7 nights would have been useful.

The advantage of this apartment is definitely its location. It is located in a very touristic area (getting from the apartment to the main road to head anywhere is a bit tough sometimes, as there are so many tourists in the line for the Castelo de So Jorge). Despite this, the atmosphere in the apartment is peaceful and tranquil. The only sound you'll hear are the peacocks living in the nearby castle. An added benefit of this property is the lovely patio area, perfect for those evenings when you just want to relax outside without having to go out to a bar/restaurant.
For some individuals, the location might be a disadvantage. If you plan to mainly walk around Lisbon, which we did, this will mean that the day will always end with an uphill walk. Fortunately, this was not a problem for us, especially after we found the elevator in a nearby store (Pingo Doce). We have noticed a weird (bad) smell in the apartment that has stuck to us and our things, even after we left. This was a big worry for us because we are very sensitive to strong odours. The last issue that we had with the building was its thin ceiling. Whenever our upstairs neighbours walked around, it sounded like elephants were stomping above us. Their noise even woke us up at night, if they came home late, and we couldn't sleep until they went to bed.

A full apartment with kitchen and a washing/dryer machine.but without instructions on how to utilize.
Not a good location for older folks (or if disabled). It is within the walls of the old castles thus a nightly or more often hike uphill then stairs with no lift.
The beds are almost on the floor, which is fine if you are a college student used to sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Minimal furnishings.
Despite description of what comes with the room such as toilet paper you are required to furnish your own toiletries and toilet papera first for us who have travelled the world. To suggest management is on the miserly side I dont think is an exaggeration.

The location is great. A minute from the Castelo Sao Jorge, one of the tourist highlights of Lisbon. Good cafs and restaurants in the immediate area. The bus is handy. You always get a seat because it's the end of the line. It takes you to Praca Figueira and it's easy to connect to subway, trains from there. One thing we did love is the self-contained patio. Ideal for your morning tea and a good read .
The mattresses and pillows were not great. The cleaners changed the sheets and gave us clean towels but there wasn't much evidence that they cleaned anything else. Also they cheap out on stuff like toilet paper, dish detergent, especially if like us you stay for several days. With a bit of effort this could be an excellent rental, but they don't go the extra mile.

Good location near to Castello San Joa. We were allowed a delayed check-out from 1200 to 1400.
Representative was 20 minutes late to meet us. Towels were not changed during our stay and would only be changed at an additional cost. The beds were 2 single beds pushed together which were uncomfortable. The bathroom smelt mouldy.

Excellent position, closed to the castle and plenty of restaurant, shops etc. Just in case be aware that taxi are dropping you 100 Mt away, of course. Flat is nice and space enough for 4 people.

When we arrived, house was plenty of humidity and linen wet because of that. At least, open in advance windows and/or switch on heating.
Linen were not enough and we waited 3 days to have the new ones.
No wall hangers available in the house. The only one in bathroom was broken.
Table in the kitchen ruined and only 2 chairs available, but you rent house for 4 people.
Shower water discharge was not draining and last 2 days, no way to use it.

recently renovated, well equipped, close to the castle
Humidity: there is a strong smell of humidity; black mould in the bathroom ceiling.
when we switched on the dehumidifier (there is a good one in the property), the humidity level was at 88% and after 12 hours it just dropped to 75%. we did this for 3 days in a row, and never managed to get below 70%.
unfortunately, this more than offset the merits of this property

Very unique location right inside the castle! The experience feels authentic and special at a reasonable price. Includes all the necessary appliances including the washing machine. I liked the patio a lot!
Please check if everything works perfectly before the next check in. In our case the drain in shower and the sink were plugged up. Could use some basic kitchen necessities like salt and matches ready.
