Very Good
We stayed here as a family of four (2 adults and two children aged 7 and 2). Before booking, we contacted the hotel to explain our situation and ask whether we would be allowed to stay in the Standard Triple Room with a baby crib. The hotel kindly made an exception and confirmed that this arrangement would be accepted, which we really appreciated.
The room was very spacious for a city hotel, with a large bathroom including a bathtub, bidet and plenty of space for a family. The double bed was also exceptionally large—we could actually have slept all four of us in it if needed. In practice, my wife and our two daughters slept comfortably in the double bed, while I used the separate single bed. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our five-night stay. The room, corridors, lifts and lobby were always spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our stay comfortable. The hotel is not new, but it has been well maintained and does not feel run-down
The access to internet in the room through WiFi was extremely poor, it was very slow and often got disconnected. so most of the times had to use my mobile internet.
The breakfast looked extensive at first glance, but in practice the variety was rather limited, especially for families with young children or those who do not eat pork. The only meat options were pork sausages and ham, eggs were served only as omelettes, and there were no pancakes during our five-day stay. Our daughters are very picky eaters and usually have pancakes for breakfast, so this made breakfast quite challenging. Breakfast is also served only until 10:30 a.m., which felt quite early if you want to have a relaxed morning before exploring the city.
The location is a bit of a mixed experience. It is not something the hotel can change, but it may be useful for future guests to know. On the positive side, the hotel is within a 5-10 minute walk of Roma Metro Station, Roma-Areeiro railway station, and several bus stops, so public transport connections are very good. However, the hotel is somewhat removed from most of Lisbon's main tourist attractions, so you will likely rely on public transport every day.
This may be particularly important for families with young children, strollers or heavy luggage. We arrived from Lisbon Oriente Station and used the suburban train to Roma-Areeiro. Boarding and getting off the train was quite difficult because the train floor was around one metre higher than the platform, making it hard to manage luggage and a stroller. The following day Google Maps suggested using the metro, but unfortunately the lifts at both Roma Metro Station and our destination station were out of service, so I had to carry both the stroller and my child up and down the stairs. This is, of course, beyond the hotel's control, but worth considering if accessibility is important for your trip.

The staff were very nice and accommodating - they offered to hold our luggage if the room wasn’t ready when we arrived. We arrived at noon and our room was ready which was a pleasant surprise. The room was spacious and provided enough space for our family of three. The hotel is not located near the tourist attractions but it is relatively close to the airport which was perfect for us since we were flying out the next morning.
The bathroom needs a little updating, particularly the bathtub/shower, but it was clean and functional.

We stayed at Hotel Roma the night before an early-morning flight. The staff at the reception desk were courteous and professional. We had many delicious dining options within walking distance.

The staff were very helpful. Esp. at the bar (where I got hot water since there was no kettle in the room) and at the desk, when I asked for eating recommendations.
It's a very busy place, with tour buses of people. The people in the room above us were playing soccer or something in the room, stomping around til almost 3am. The trains also were fairly noisy - we asked for quiet room so this was an issue.

Pleasant
The room was good. The bed was comfortable and there was a bathtub in the room, which was welcome after so much traveling. The breakfast was good.
The team was not organized. I had to wait until long after check-in to check in because mine and many other people's rooms were not ready. I went to the wine bar to wait, but it was closed. I found out later that no one could find the key. I asked if I could check out a little later the next day, since I was let into the room so late, and I was told no. Nothing was done to make up for the many inconveniences caused by what seemed to be issues between the front desk staff. However, some of the staff did their very best to make the best of a bad situation, so maybe I caught them on a bad day.
