The room was great. The beds were comfortable. Our family enjoyed the short stay.. Kids eat free was a plus.
We were overcharged by the taxi driver that took us from the airport. He was followed by the police and questioned. We were told we could get a refund. Heard nothing back.

Modern accommodations throughout, very helpful staff speaking English, attentive room cleaning. All aspects were in fine working order.
The breakfast room was crowded, with choices seeming rather limited. The staff hurried to keep tables clear, and were very attentive to specific wants.

The reception was very friendly. We were early from checkin but they were able to help us quickly. Breakfast was amazing.
I used the sofa bed which I think must need replacing because it was lumpy and I can feel the hard wood of the sofa on my back.

This was a sort of typical, solid quality hotel. The staff was nice, and the rooms were decently sized. The breakfast had a very wide selection of food, of okay quality. The gym/fitness center had an unusually large range of free weights: dumbbells from 1 kg to 40 kg, a bench press with a barbell and plates, an also a squat rack with barbell and plates. In addition, there was a lat pulldown machine, a cable machine for flys, and a few cardio machines. It was all crammed in kind of a small space, but it worked. In addition, there is a cafe right around the corner (not the one in the Hotel, despite being called something like The Continental Cafe or Intercontinental Cafe) that was terrific -- not only did it have great pastry and coffee, but also ahd a lunch special on weekdays that was only 12 euros for a very complete lunch, including coffee. The afe is on the same block as the hotel, but I don't mean the lobby cafe in the hotel.
There was no major problem with the hotel. It seemed a little older, but that wasn't terrible. The food was not great quality at the lobby cafe (if it's lunchtime, try instead going to the cafe around the corner mentioned above) but it was convenient. The hotel location was not central to tourism, but we find Lisbon to be an easy city to get around in anyway, and Ubers or taxis are very cheap compared to US cities.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Portugal and found it to be a convenient base for exploring the city. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Entrecampos train station, where you can catch both the metro and regional trains, making it easy to travel around Lisbon and beyond. There is also a taxi rank directly outside the hotel, and the main bus station is within walking distance. The area has plenty of restaurants, cafés, and other eateries nearby.
The rooms were comfortable, and the bed provided a good night's sleep. The shower was excellent, with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. The Wi-Fi was also fast and reliable throughout our stay. However, the room décor felt a little dated and could benefit from a refresh.
One thing to be aware of is that the windows can open fully, so families travelling with young children may wish to take extra care.
The highlight of our stay was the breakfast. There was an excellent selection of fresh and wholesome food, with something to suit every taste. We also had dinner at the hotel, where children eat free. The buffet was again very good, offering plenty of choice and a variety of tasty dishes.
The hotel also has a small gym, which is useful for maintaining a workout routine while travelling.
Overall, this is a comfortable and well-located hotel with excellent transport links, good facilities, and outstanding food. While the rooms could be modernised and noise may be an issue for light sleepers, the convenient location, friendly amenities, and excellent breakfast make it a solid choice for families and city-break travellers.
The main downside was the noise. The corridors can become quite noisy, and guests frequently banging doors was enough to shake the bed and wake light sleepers like me. Soundproofing could definitely be improved.
