I arrived late in the evening with my exhausted physically and visually disabled daughter having walked for 15 minutes to get there and I stood at the reception desk for over 10 minutes whilst the woman at the desk ignored me completely. Sje continued on a call - it sounded like she was making a reservation which I would have understood except she didn't acknowledge my presence at all. She never gave me eye contact and just carried on doing what she was doing and would have continued in that way if I hadn't try to go into the backroom to seek other help. They did try very hard to compensate by giving us a free breakfast and even opening it up earlier than usual as we were leaving for the airport at 7:30am- which we did appreciate. However, our poor reception left a bad taste- it is just not the customer service one expects from a hotel like this!

The free mini tour of the hotel’s archaeological remains which conducted by the hotel was definitely a highlight for the stay.
The hotel was comfortable, and their staffs were willing to listen to our complaints of the party noises from the street till 3am, they changed the room for our family to those which facing to inner court yard and not disturbed by the party noises. The hotel also sent a bottle of sparkling wine and handwritten note to apologise for the inconvenience caused for us. We appreciated their efforts on making things right for us.
The room 602 assigned to my family was just next to the party street and the party noises continued whole night till 3am plus in the morning which really disturbed our sleep for the first night. We’re frustrated because I have indicated my preference of a quiet room and have no idea about the street party noises next to the hotel upon booking of the room, and yet the hotel reservation didn’t take note of this.

If you ask my boyfriend and I what we mostly like in Lisbon, we’d say the hotel we stayed . . location, delicious breakfast with plenty of fresh fruits, beautiful people, the ambiance. Soraia at the front desk talking with us for a long time about the city, all her advices . . all the staff smiles and happiness !!

The hotel overall is decent, the location is excellent, walking distance from most of the main sights around Lisbon. Our room had a big balcony which was nice to be on in the evenings. The staff is very friendly, and welcoming. They are accommodating and proactive i appreciated this very much.
There's a few things to unpack here the hotel did not meet my expectations on a few fronts. It is advertised as a 5 star hotel but it left a lot to be desired. I honestly felt this was more of a 4-star hotel with a spa.
Our room felt dated. There was a bit of visible wear and tear
The AC was not working (we mentioned this to the front desk and it was fixed somewhat but still wasn't cooling as it should)
The TV was not working properly, It consistently had no signal, channels would briefly work, then go black.
The shower had very low pressure.
The pillows felt hard and uncomfortable (of course this is a subjective matter but for us they were a little hard)
Lastly I was quite surprised that there was no bellman to help with luggage. This is something that is expected at any hotel that advertises as a 5 star.
These are all small things but these are things which should not happen at a hotel which is advertised as a 5 star hotel.
As mentioned the only redeeming factor was that the staff themselves were wonderful, and therefore im giving 1 point higher in my overall rating.
