Very good location. Very practical. Very central and close to subway. Very nice staff.
It would have been practical to have a very early check-in. But we could leave our luggage and change. So all was OK. Very nice staff.

We loved the location of the hotel. Lots of restaurants, sites and shopping in that area. The hotel was very unique and they let us store our luggage before check in so we could go off and explore. The staff were super friendly and helpful and always so engaging. The room was very spacious and clean. We would definitely stay at Esqina Urban Lodge again!!

Lots of welcoming messages so we were met and already checked in on arrival. Bright double room with balcony door for fresh air. Douro vino and fresh custard tarts were a nice welcome. A short stroll to Metro, riverfront and main square for sunsets, trams and downtown walking tours. Great advice provided on good value eating and a map of main areas to see. Consistently lovely Reception staff assisted in securing an early morning taxi to the Airport.
The elevator ends on the first floor (!) with a flight of stairs down to Reception. Assistance with bags was offered, so not a big deal. We stayed for an additional night in a smaller room: it was fine if a little too compact.

The location was great for exploring Lisbon. Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable.
It's helpful to know that it's necessary to climb 2 flights of stairs before getting to the elevator. There are no common areas at all. There was no closet in our room, just a place on the wall to hang clothes. The shower is quite small - difficult to get in and out of, and there was not much space to put our toiletries out.

Location.
A man/staff entered our room in the middle of the night not called/uninvited!!! About half an hour after midnight there was a knock on our door. We did not respond as we were about to fall asleep and assumed it must have been a mistake. However, there was a second knock and immediately after there was a man that entered our room uninvited!!! We almost jumped out of bed and he quickly left closing the door behind him. The door does not have a key, it is an automatic locking system and most likely he had a master key or the code. I chased him outside on the halls and he did not speak English, he said he was sorry and that he was looking for another room to check the light or something. Terrible experience! I have reported this in the morning to the staff and they seemed just as shocked as us! Barging at 00.30 in the night uninvited into a room with guests! Zero respect/security. I have never had this happen anywhere else, hopefully they will investigate and address this type of "mistakes".

Wonderful, central location but still very quiet. Room was well appointed, and eco-friendly . I had a medical emergency my first night there, and the staff went above and beyond every day after that to check in with me to make sure I was okay. As a solo traveler, that was so appreciated! Its a little gem of a place, and I hope to return!

Located right in the centre of the Baixa district, this charming, cosy hotel was in the middle of everything - an easy walk to just about anywhere you would like to go. Central, yet, still comfortable and quiet in the evenings. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, checking in via text to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was small, but that it to be expected in these old buildings, and I would definitely recommend a stay in this location for any singles/couples visiting Lisbon.
I'd prefer a room with a full bathroom, rather than the toilet/shower stalls, and handbasin in the main room, but I knew what I was getting, and it was perfectly clean and acceptable for the stay.
