Good
Excellent location for the centre .
I particularly liked the food and the patisseries as they had excellent home baked pastries.

When I arrived at the front, this accommodation was simply closed. I rang the bell, but no one came. I’d been waiting for more than 20 minutes on the street until I decided to look for another hotel.
Icing on the cake, they said to Book that I was lying while I took pictures in front of the door to show that I was there, and they don't want to proceed to a refund. Worst experience over 300 bookings.

It was centrally located
MISERABLE. The only cooling in the room was a 12 inch box fan that was on a 2 hour timer. Every two hours I would have to reset the timer..All. Night. Long. Or.. open window looking directly into other bedrooms across the alley- no screen..LOTS of LOUD street noise..
Bed was like a slab of concrete. Pillows were sad, limp, little, lumpy, sacks of cotton bolls.
One of the outlets was broken. 6 long flights of stairs required to reach the room. Bathroom reeked of mold. Shower dripped incessantly. Shower drain was slow.. covered my feet in grey water while showering. Soap holder was a rusted wire basket falling off the shower wall. Only bath towels- no wash cloths and no hand towels.
The room did have a small balcony, but no chairs, and no kettle for heating water.. so don’t imagine sitting on the balcony enjoying your morning coffee.
No mini fridge. No microwave. No amenities except a blow dryer.

The room and bathroom were very clean. The linen on the bed was very nice cotton. The cleaner did a nice job in the room. The staff helped me take my bags upstairs. And they also printed out my boarding pass although it meant they had to go out of their way outside the premises. I really appreciated that. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I felt very safe there. The location was amazing right bang in the thick of it in the old town.
The pillow was not very comfortable but I am very fussy about my pillow! My room was on the third floor and it was quite a climb which I did not know in advance. If I stayed again I would ask for the 1st floor though I suppose you need to pay more then.

The place has amazing location, access to metro, nice streets, shopping, tour departures, touristy area.
It was very clean and can't thank the cleaning staff enough for always keeping it so clean. Daily cleaning. Very friendly staff.
My card didn't seem to work with their machine, they had to bill me manually. My card is a VISA that worked in all the other transactions I made. Something to be careful about.
I had a shared bathroom and some of the guests weren't very clean and took over the bathroom for minimal stuff like putting on earrings or doing hair. It's a shame, I can usually do shared bathroom if there's reapect but don't think I will do that again.
I like to keep my window open but this time it was a challenge since the window faced exhaust fans from kitchens below, smelled like old frying oil. No ac so you can use a fan for cooling off.
Noisy street area beware. Bring earplugs.
Bedding wasn't great for the season. Pillows are filmsy. Mattresses are mediocre. It's what you pay for but could be better.

The facilities, cleanliness and location.
One (only) employee who treated us with respect and consideration.
The manager's attitude.
Probably because of his lack of experience and perhaps cultural upbringing. He treated us like we were less than mud. All is reported in the Booking.com and copy can be provided.
Despite the fact that we tried to establish a space for dialogue, this person shouted at a fist point and was intimidating to the point my wife broke into tears. The facts: we were left outside for more than an hour. Despite our prior message about our arrival time. We asked one local pedestrian to please phone the hotel to open the door. Then, when the kind employee came from outside the hotel and brought a card paying machine, it did not work four times. We offered to pay in cash part of the stay until a few hours later when they fixed the machine. He accepted and called the manager. It was almost 01:00 am. We had travelled for 7 hours and we were tired. The kind employee brought us to our quiet room as requested. Five mins later he came back saying his manager wanted us to pay right away the whole amount. We said sure, but the machine did not work again. He phoned his manager again and the employee said his manager is upset and will come in an hour!!! We were shocked. In less than 10 minutes a very tall and heavy man opened our room widely, stood in front of us blocking our dignity and shouted "what is your problem" "if you don't pay I will pay from the Booking.com site" We offered him to have done that in order to avoid such a bad experience. He added "you pay me now!!!" In the meantime, I tried to get in contact with Booking.com but nobody responded. We were also ready to leave and to call the local police because the manager was intimidating and we had no support. Scary moment. Traumatizing. I have waited to write this review but I have to do it because it can happen to the next guests who perhaps can be you right? These are the facts not opinions. 매니저의 태도. 아마도 경험 부족과 문화적 양육 때문일 겁니다. 그는 우리를 진흙보다 못한 사람 취급했습니다. Booking.

Locations, location, location! It’s a simple hotel and the best thing is about location. Very close to everything.
It’s a simple hotel, you’re only paying for the location really.
The shower in one of the bathroom’s did not drain fast.

The location was great and the man at the reception was friendly( I think his name was Mandeep).
Size of room was ok and it was pretty quiet as I was at the back of the building.
The room did not look as nice as the photos .g
My room description when i booked said I had a balcony and my room didn't have a balcony but faced a clothes line and a brick wall. When I queried the boss(via phone) about this she was very unfriendly. But she did offer to give me a refund so I could try to find my own room somewhere else on a Friday evening when lisbon was very busy. As I had just arrived after over 24 hours of travelling and didn't want the stress of wandering the streets/internet to look for another room, which would have been impossible to find, I declined her offer and stayed in my room.

The guy at reception was very nice.and helpful.
No AC. We had room on 4th floor which was many stairs and no AC. We requested to move to 1st floor which was better but it was a shared bathroom. We paid for a room with private bathroom. We should be refunded the difference in price for a shared bathroom.

Good hotel, somewhat loud location. No lift to room, I had recent surgery on my knee. Only go if stairs are not a problem.
Place as described but right beside a busy walking lane.
