I traveled to Lisbon for work and had one free day/night so I booked this hotel for my personal stay. The room was very clean and much larger than I expected - it truly is a suite. I was only able to stay for one night, so not even 12 hours due to a 7am flight departure, but I hope to return one day. I did not have the breakfast because I had to leave very early. The location was fantastic, the staff was helpful and friendly, and they worked hard to enable me to check in a few hours early.
Nothing I did not like.

The room was amazing! Breakfast was delightful!! Staff was wonderful! Great location!!
The stairs were a little overwhelming. I think guests should be warned in advance. Many people would not be able to climb them.

An excellent breakfast was delivered every morning. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The location is one of the best in the city. This is the shopping district so you will find shops and plenty of restaurants & bars. There is no elevator here, so you must walk up at least 32 steps to the first floor.
No elevator. So if you are physically challenged, the steps may be an issue for you.

Noisy - no elevator - 6 flights of stairs - cold breakfast - plumbing noises - room was worn out badly - over priced

Disappointing
Staff were friendly.
The superior room was extremely large but the room was extremely tired looking. It may have at one time been quite lovely but the wall to wall carpeting was severely stained they had carpet over carpet. The pillows smelled terrible and need to be changed! The room is very dark with very little lighting in for a room that size. Closet is extremely small and can not hang anything longer than a short shirt if that in it! No where to put luggage only one luggage holder! The breakfast they served to your room in the morning at your chosen time was cold scrambled eggs that were not cooked and a piece of fat that was suppose to be bacon or ham. The fruit was either over ripe or brown from either sitting too long before being served or just fruit that turned bad! The first morning we had an early tour they left a sandwich that consisted of two slabs of store bought white bread with ham and cheese on it that was left out for hours in room the night before as they delivered to room while out! Not wrapped in anything not put in cooler or fridge! It was discusting!! Sorry not eating a sandwich at 7:30 am. Certainly NOT a four star hotel by any means it may have some history but the place needs an overhaul! No bathroom doors sound of pump extremely loud when shower or taps are turned on or when toilet flushes! The noise outside the room was terrible from a bar on the corner and people swearing and yelling below.

The room was excellent, with spacious interior, and a nice view of the water, and the location was excellent, very close to the Commerical Square and pedestrian areas, but just far enough away that the street was quiet. A 5 minute walk the shoreline, and metro and train stations. Just could not beat the location. We had a great breakfast tray brought to our room each morning with coffee and a nice breakfast. The staff gets an A+ always friendly, helpful, and the property was very clean, Daily maid service was excellent. I would go back again!
Nothing, well done, Dear Lisbon Chiado Palace!

Very pleasant and professional staff.
We liked the special birthday cake with breakfast.
We absolutely loved the view and the formula with breakfast in the room.
The bed was covering half of the plugs. Too few plugs.

Wonderful
Beautiful room. Excellent breakfast that is delivered on a beautiful cart to the room! Plenty of high quality food that is beautifully presented.
The neighborhood is nice and feels safe. Clean and close to everything without being noisy. The air conditioned worked very well.
The stairs are a lot especially for older folks but that is to be expected in a historical building in a historical neighborhood.
The sound of the water pump goes off every time you use the bathroom. You get used to it after a while :)

Wonderful
Staff was lovely, friendly, approachable and helpful. The room was very large, very comfortable bed. Some lovely antiques. Great location in the Chiado district, close to shops and restaurants. Had air conditioning, which was great when it was over 30 degrees in Lisbon. Loved having breakfast in our room. The one full breakfast we had there was delicious with lots of choice on the trolley that was brought to our room.
Just know that breakfast service starts at 8am. Two mornings we had to leave earlier than that - for a daytrip and to leave for the airport. They prepared a snack that they brought the night before - yoghurt with granola, some sliced bread with some deli ham and cheese in between one day, croissants the other day, but I feel this could easily have been fuller - sliced fruit, more cheese - some other things we could have kept in our fridge overnight. In fact, I couldn't eat all the fruit from the full breakfast we had, so I kept some of it and saved it for the next morning when we had to leave early. There was another couple that also had to leave prior to 8am - I think there are likely enough people who need breakfast prior to 8am that they should consider starting breakfast earlier, especially when paying such high rates for a room. This is the only reason I gave 9 out of 10 instead of a full 10.

We had an amazing stay! Not sure where to start. The room was gorgeous with so much space and we had a lovely view of the rooftops and river. The location was perfect, on a quiet street but a block from lively shops and restaurants . We were able to walk almost everywhere. The breakfast en suite was amazing and presented so beautifully. Every staff member was friendly and went out of their way to be super helpful.

the staff was incredible, above and beyond expectations. The daily breakfast was a feast and delicious. The views from our suite were beautiful and the location could not be any better.
Nothing significant, the building is historic so you deal with the creaks and limitations but it is well worth the experience.
