Exceptional
The atmosphere from the moment you enter the lane way to the welcoming hostess was a perfect introduction to Lisbon.
The courtyard pool was a perfect way to cool off in the late afternoon.
Loved the breakfast! We found lots of vegetarian options.

Excellent location, very clean, good breakfast and nice dipping pool.
Rafael is like the “Dwight Schrute” of hospitality. He was the most negative host of all of our travels in Portugal. Other staff were delightful. If you have mobility issues, this place isn’t for you due to the stairs.

Staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us. They contacted us before our stay and very supportive when our flight got cancelled.
Breakfast was very good.
Ran out of breakfast tea. Alternates were available.

Staff were very nice.
Room was very different from the rooms in the pictures. Actually, it did not correspond to any pictures. Floor and paint in not great condition. Heating / airco with problems. Wifi did not work in the room and I had to work from there.
We "complained" and were told they were full and could only give us a smaller room at another hotel.

Quirky little hotel in a cobbled quiet street with really helpful and friendly staff. A really lovely place to stay in Lisbon within walking distance of the old town and to the tram stops to take you further afield.

Lovely little hotel. Breakfast was tasty and the staff was superb.
The ventilation in the room is not very effective (towels never dried and you could feel the moist air)

The staff, they were nice. Period. That’s it.
I think their reviews are fake. The rooms are shabby, small, worn down, and really uncomfortable. For the price it is definitely not worth it. The paint was splotchy with holes in the walls. The bathroom door was broken. There was water damage everywhere. The wallpaper was peeling. For the first time since I started using Booking.com 20 years ago, we moved out of the hotel on the first day and went to a Marriott. What a piece of garbage. The “year round” pool was also empty. We asked for a refund, but “in good faith” they offered us discounts on future Dear Lisbon stays. They can shove their good faith.

The location ended up being a little more challenging than we expected — although, to be fair, that was probably on us for not researching it more carefully beforehand. We didn’t realize the hotel didn’t have an elevator, and getting there involved walking up a hill. We were hoping for a very easy and relaxed arrival, but instead spent some time figuring out the entrance and carrying our bags up several flights of stairs. The property itself is lovely, but if you’re looking for something extremely convenient and effortless with luggage, it’s worth keeping this in mind.

Short Uphill climb to the property, usually no uber can reach the door so it's a very short walk up with luggage
