Poor
Location was good
Too loud, absolutely no soundproofing. You can hear music in the bar beneath and every step of people above.
Also the “corkage” is just a big joke. It is forbidden to take drinks and food to the room, or they will charge you extra. The room cost was more than 200€ per night and this was not worth the money. This so called “corkage” should already be included in this price.

Wonderful
The stuff were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The location couldn’t be better. Our room was lovely, overlooking a charming square
Our original room was overlooking a very unpleasant back yard with loud a generator right outside the window. I am suffering from fear of pipes, generators and boilers, so couldn’t possibly stay there, although the room itself was lovely. Luckily the stuff were very understanding and found an alternative GORGEOUS room facing the front.

Very Good
The desk staff was very friendly, especially Katarina. The bed was extremely comfortable and the water pressure was excellent. Location was central, we walked most places we wanted to see. The eggs at breakfast were wonderul.
Breakfast room staff could be more friendly, the food was fairly basic. Even on the 'first floor', there are 2 flights of stairs to climb. It is a very old building so you just have to understand that.

Very Good
The staff were very friendly. My favourite thing about this hotel is its character and size. I’m not keen on staying in large establishments, this is a converted section of a very old building and in total there are only nine rooms.
Yes, it is old, and some noise travels, but the character really makes it worth the day. The rooms are gorgeous and very large, generous proportions.
Despite the age of the building, the soundproofing of the windows and shutters are quite good. We had the windows open in the afternoons when we returned from our walks, and the square felt quite loud. But the windows did a great job of shutting that out at night time.
The staff were extremely kind and left a small bottle of wine and a slice of cake, with a hand- written note for my husband‘s birthday.
That extra touch would make me come back there any time.
The breakfast is small, but perfectly adequate. Hot food includes scrambled eggs and bacon, there are pastries, yoghurt and fruit available.
There is a kettle and coffee maker in the room, the water bottle is replaced daily. There is a mini bar, which we did not require, but I did use the fridge keep some milk in, as being Irish and British we like real tea.
Robes and slippers are also provided, The shower had great pressure and was always really warm.
It was enough to keep us going, the breakfast room is so small and cute and feels more personal than some of the big hotels.
The location is just around the corner from an underground station, as well as tram stops on the square. Just FYI- you can easily get the metro/underground here from the airport, only one line change.
We found this to be a perfect base and did a lot of walking. Some restaurants nearby are excellent, I would recommend the little wine bar next-door to the right (as you stand facing the hotel) and the Asian restaurant to the left.
The only issue I found with the sound, was the fact that there are apartments above which I assume people live in. I could hear someone above me moving around and noises like chairs tracking on the floor. It didn’t bother me too much and I went back to sleep, but just be aware this is an old building and it only occupies one and a half floors.
There is no lift up to the room, not an issue at all for us. They do also offer help with the bags, but please bear in mind if you have mobility issues or are a little older and struggle with stairs.

Location was perfect and central to everything. Staff was phenomenal in assisting with all our needs, especially Catarina. Breakfast which was included in our stay was amazing. If you like small boutique hotels with great customer service and a perfect location then this is the place for you in Lisbon for your stay. Only nine rooms !! I cant say enough about this place. It was our 1st time to Lisbon and our 1st stop. It set the whole tone for the rest of the trip
Nothing. It was perfect

PERFECT location. Seriously. Restaurants. Sites. History. Beautiful room
It’s an older hotel with updates. So everything was very nice. You need to know there’s no elevator. OK for us just FYI.

Bordalo Palace is in a super location with good restaurants, bars and shops just on the doorstep and transport options also very close by. Also a very quiet location despite having a restaurant just below our window but it closed at a reasonable time. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities. Breakfast was a mixed array each morning but also tasty. Staff were excellent throughout from check in to local tips and help g with extra coffee each morning. No hesitation to fully recommend.

The staff were super helpful and friendly and went out of their way to answer our questions. Breakfast was really tasty, lots of options (yoghurt and fruit, pastries, eggs on toast). The building is old and beautifully decorated and the rooms and beds are really comfortable. Brilliant location in central Lisbon with everything you could wish for on the doorstep.
Everything was great.

Pleasant
Room was OK, but not worth the price. Breakfast was adequate but main criticism was the inflexibility of getting fried eggs instead of the boiled and scrambled. Very small establishment , I believe 9 rooms ,so should have been able to meet CUSTOMER requirements. Clearly, not customer focused. But location great if wanting to explore this area.
Definitly overpriced by 25%, and breakfast could have been delivered as per customer wishes.

The service was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and the room was huge and a very comfortable bed. I liked everything.
Shame there wasn’t a small table to dine at in the room which had plenty of space. I think they could have called it a suite then and charged more money. We were there 5 nights and by the forth I didn’t really want to go out for dinner so a space for eating would have been the icing on the cake. Excellent hotel though.
