Exceptional
The hotel is lovely and the room is huge. We had lots of space and felt very comfortable. The room was beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We appreciate the kindness and hospitality of Ana and Catarina and the others who welcomed us to the hotel. The location was absolutely perfect, ideal for our first trip to Lisbon. I’m very glad we chose this hotel.

Location, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, and buffet breakfast -cooked from scratch daily with excellent variety of foods (fruits, cheeses, ham, breads, scrambled eggs, bacon). Walking distance to many eateries. Less than 5 minutes from Baixa-Chiado Metro Station. Staff went out of their way to provide me with a breakfast the night before my departure since I left hotel at 7am for airport
(breakfast starts at 8am). Front desk has copies of Lisbon guides for guest use.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have EVER had! So many options, including healthy ones, and the selection changed every day. I’ve missed it ever since we’ve left.
It can be a bit noisy from the restaurants down below, but having the restaurants down below was so convenient for dinner. After walking the city each day a short walk with so many options for dinner was a blessing.

Charming with an old world feel. Bed was very comfortable. Felt quiet although was in a very busy part of the Lisbon. Breakfast was great.
Noisy air conditioner and paint could use a refresh but these are minor concerns.

Location and room for the most part.
Breakfast room too small and breakfast was not well organised.

The next day, even though we had put up the “Do Not Disturb” sign, we noticed that someone had entered the room while we were out. The dirty laundry was still there, but only the trash bin had been emptied. Since we didn’t have any missing belongings, we didn’t say anything.

We liked the location, size of the room and bathroom and the character of the room and hotel in general. We like period hotels and this did not disappoint. The front desk staff were very helpful too.
The only very slight niggle was breakfast, it is a bit pricey considering the options are quite limited and I think the breakfast staff could have been a bit more attentive and prompt in bringing coffee etc. The quality of what was on offer was nice but could have been more selection and the offer of coffee refills.
