Disappointing
Both Receptionists were excellent and extremely helpful
The shared toilet and shower were bright, clean and airy
The breakfast was acceptable but limited with very cheery staff
Received an email in airport telling me that as I would possibly be arriving after 9pm reception would be closed so I needed to pay balance in full before being given the code for entry
Link they gave did not open with poor signal
This despite having had money for first night already deducted. Resulted in an extremely stressful flight fearing I was going to be unable to access property if I arrived after 9pm forcing me to book another nearby hotel
Had I been informed earlier in the week I could easily paid balance from home

The comfy mattresses, hearty breakfast and the quirky contemporary-meets-classic style were positive points. Good communication by staff.
We believed there was a car park, but that wasn't the case.

The reception we received upon arrival was excellent; we were aware that the building was older
but was a fairly good location for our early AM departure from Lisbon airport. unfortunately, missing breakfast which has access to the roof terrace of the Hotel, room was spotless
bed and bedding were very comfortable; we were aware when booking that the bathroom was not inside of our room, they do have ensuite rooms, but they were not available.
would stay again great value for Money for the Location
the reception gave us a great recommendation for dinner authentic Portuguese great food.
there was nothing to dislike, if connecting in Lisbon again would stay again great value.
for me bedding is always a top issue and this place was top notch.

Good location. Friendly staff. Fresh and varied breakfast. Great views from their rooftop terrace, where breakfast is served, so a great way to start the day.

The location was good, although not easy to take lots of steps and hills to get from the bus station.One can take a bus almost anywhere in town.Breakfast was ok. It was advertised as a buffet, but was just a set menu. the stuff is nice and try their best.
The house outside looked really interesting, but inside it is very shabby, old and some things really need repair. As i mentioned before lots of steps to get there. The beds are old too. Mine was almost falling apart. the sheets were constantly sliding of the mattress. The room service was marginal too. The earliest breakfast was at 8 a.m. we wanted to have a cup of coffee earlier. but it was not available.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They pride themselves on handmade hostitality and that was evident from the start. I was offered a piece of cheese and a glass of wine as a welcome that I enjoyed on the roof terrace. They also provided a pocket size map with good suggestions to explore the city. The hotel itself is quite quirky with some curious art displays in the corridors. The room was quite basic in terms of the furniture but functional. The breakfast was tasty and included some homemade cakes and tortilla. The hotel is located in a quiet street with several bustops nearby. There are also a few nice restaurants in the area.
Though the breakfast was good and the roof terrace is a nice location to serve it when the sun shines. When it is raining then the breakfast is served inside and the room is rather small. So it gets quite busy and crammed despite having a booking system with ~45 min slots. In addition, there is only one coffee maker and thus you may have to wait quite a while to get a coffee.

Staff was very helpful throughout the stay including helpful information during check in. Breakfast on the terrace was nice. They also offered an included cup on wine and cheese on the terrace which was enjoyable.

It’s a beautiful older home. Former monestary in the city. The rooms are clean with wonderful high ceilings. Our room faces the courtyard/garden. So it was very quiet for a city and surprisingly pleasant given the high temperatures. Staff are very kind and helpful.
Would have liked earlier breakfast option. Breakfast is fantastic and served at 8.

Nice and cosy building. Breakfast on a balcony with a beautiful view. Breakfast was quite rich.
Soun isolation is lacking, otherwise in late May everything was OK. Maybe in summer it will get hot?

Pretty good breakfast.
A little treat of a small cake was a nice touch.
Looks like they were just using the place until sold or shut downNo improvements or upgrades made to the place.
The garden was an unkempt jungle.
The reception area was makeshift.
I offered to oil all there doors with wd 40 if they bought a can.
Although there were lounges they were most of the time locked.

The building is beautiful and the location is nice: a bit outside the touristic area, amazing view and quiet during the night
Our bathroom wasn’t located in/close to our room. Maybe we missed this during the booking, but not very convenient when you travel with kids.
