It’s very cozy, comfortable bed and pillow.
It’s pretty noisy in the morning when other guest woke up and few guests rang the door bell in midnight to check in.

Great location, right next to the Saldanha metro station. Staff were very helpful and kind, they gave us tips about what to see for first-time visitors. Bathrooms were cleaned frequently. Breakfast had a nice variety of food!
The other people on the floor we had to stay with were quite loud but that’s not the property’s fault.
Room was a bit dark because of the window facing the internal part of the building. I would suggest brighter lamps for these particular rooms.

Had a really wonderful stay at Chalet D’Ávila Guest House — honestly, everything exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt very welcome. The place itself is cozy, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean, which immediately makes you feel comfortable.
The room was exactly like in the photos — no surprises, just as nice (if not even better). It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into keeping everything in great condition.
What made the experience even more special was the staff. They are genuinely kind, friendly, and always ready to help. No matter what I needed — recommendations for places to visit, tips about Lisbon and nearby areas, or just general questions — they were always happy to assist and really made an effort to make my stay enjoyable.
The atmosphere in the guest house is relaxed and welcoming, not too big or crowded, which I personally appreciated a lot.

The location is amazing - just across the street from a metro station that is on the airport line - 22 minutes from the airport to your room! The breakfast was indeed fabulous: plentiful, lots of Portuguese specialities, all fresh, with lots of choice. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The building I was in (there are two) was clearly a converted block of flats: there were beautiful original tiles in the halls and other original architectural features - you knew where you were, rather than being in a sterile building that could be anywhere in the world. The bedroom furnishings were basic: bed, chair, bedside table, a rack with hangers for clothes, but all well organised and with a spare, pleasing aesthetic. There was a very attractive glassed in porch on our floor, and a well-equipped kitchen. The staff were lovely - exceptionally friendly and helpful.
When they ask if you want a ground floor or upper floor room, be aware that the upper rooms can be quite a trek up the stairs. So if you need a ground floor room, ask for one! They are very accommodating.

The guesthouse is located in two adjoining historical palaces just in front of a metro station. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is served in rooms with natural light and it is well varied. Some rooms have a semi-private terrace opening on the rear of the building. Rooms are spacious and bright.
The buildings have no lifts and bathrooms are shared - this is clearly advertised. Cleanliness and availability of bathroom is mostly a function of how your fellow travellers use them, despite the guesthouse staff cleaning multiple times a day. Same for noise on floors.
